I recommend Prestige bunny mixes. Got those for adults and those for juniors. Cos if I feed alot of that to my bunny, she puts on weight very fast. Somemore, she loves the taste very much.

those rabbit mix / crispy snacks hor, better not give too much. VERY unhealthy. even if manage to fatten up the buns, they'll not be healthy. end up have to spend more for medical bills. bo hua leh...

Kekeke... My 2 senior bunnies very fat leh. Coz last time I dunno, I feed them with Kaytee Fiesta, those withlots of mixed ingredient type. Then one of my bunnies keep having diahrreoa. Later got to know Oxbow Basic T, then I switch to Oxbow brand and I mixed with rolled oats. No more diahrroea. But 2 of them still look fat fat one. Very nice to hug lor. Rolled oats is a recommended diet for bunny. But cannot give too much. About one third portion of the pellet per day. Nestum got malt and other ingredient inside. So better stay away. As for Prestige snacks, use as treat only. Other way to make your bunny fatter is to feed with some alfafa base pellet mixed with Timothy base pellets. Tuffy Buff>> What pellet are you feeding your bunny?

I'm feeding Oxbow Basic T + Hagen pellets.......it's like high end plus low end........my main purpose is to provide them a "middle range" basic diet, then the Hagen pellets are kind of make them full loh......otherwise, their consumption is very HIGH!!! Can burn a BIG hole in my pocket!! And my parents are still nagging at my "unneccesary expenses".
But I dun want them to lose weight either......so posted this thread loh........I think I'll mix the rolled oats like what Cottontail said into the "pellet mix" too!!
Any other recommendations?? Maybe we shld let the bunnies speak for themselves.....how easy wld that be......

Aiyo, you slowly slowly let your bunnies put on weight lah. Wait they become obese you don't cry hor.
In fact, your method of mixing Timothy base and Alfafa base pellet is good enough. If you want to add in rolled oat, then you cut down alfafa pellet hor. Like that your bunnies will be eating more high fibre food. Rather than protein and carbo. Then must still give lots of hay and sufficient veggies daily to make up all the fibre they need.

Oooh, okie. Then maybe I better not feed too much Prestige to them. But mine is actually mixed with Oxbow bunny pellets. Umm, Oxbow definitely use more, keke, cos it's a good brand of pellet food, yes?

lolz Okie. I only heard that quite a few pp using this brand, so follow the crowd. But it's true that I had bad experience with Oxbow hay yes. That's why, next month, I'll be changing hay brands. Will be either trying APD, Anderson or Urbanpets hay. Each has its own pros and cons, so I gotta think abt it first.
Has anyone tried APD pellets for rabbits? They're sold at Urbanpets. I never thought of trying, but wondering if anyone has.

I have tried APD Tima pellets. Just buy for fun actually and mixed with oxbow pellets. But APD is really really expensive. Such a small pack cost me almost $14. Only if I am a millionare then I can afford. I will still have to stick to Oxbow Basic T for my 6 rabbits.
As for hay, it is advisable to provide a variety. APD hay is 2nd cutting, therefore its fibre content is only 14% and protein 7% and fat is around 4%. It is on the fattening side. Better to feed together with other higher fibre hay like 1st cutting Timothy hay, Orchard Grass and Oat hay. Which has fibre as high as 34%
I am now feeding my rabbits with APD hay, Urban Pet Oat hay, Oxbow Orchard Grass and Anderson hay.
I just started trying Anderson Hay recently. Very green and fresh, only set back is it has quite a lot of stems. And my rabbits will ignore some of the stems.
