Thanks for posting this thread. Me read until scared leh... My bunny suffers from high calcium problem. But I think it's due to the fact that he doesn't drink much. He drinks approximately 1/4 to 1/3 of the entire small mineral bottle. However, he consumes vege... but we didn't feed much cos scared he not used to it. The above pic is my bunny urine... milky anot?

It smells disgusting too. My bf already reduce until cannot reduce. I think he only feed one handful of pellets per day. My bf's hand is quite big mah. So I think one handful should be alright. Then we gave him a lot of hay. He gets angry and refuse to eat the hay when there is no pellets. Then will throw tantrum. So my bf beats him!

THEN they will b very close to u,become very tame. another alternative is to change pellets loh. or mix with another pellet that is low on protein n calcium but high in fibre. oh,dun b soft hearted... u doing this for his own good. u might find it useful to use ordour control pellets(with yucca) eg. minimal marukan(the plain oone, not the mix) or APD(american pet diner) to make urine less smelly..

Aiyah... I realised that his yellow milky urine is smelly. But not his clear urine. Today hor... his milky yellow urine is cleared leh! HAHAHAH!!!!! My bf fed him only 1 and 1/3 handful of pellets a day. I know it's too little. But when bf fed him 2 handfuls, his urine still milky yellow. So we fed him more hay.
When his Burgess going to finish, I will buy Oxbow to mix with his burgess. Then can feed him more lor. Will not be feeding him Burgess anymore.
What brand is recommended huh? I dun really need urine odour control food at the moment. Just wan something which is really healthy. U mentioned that Oxbow is high in fibre. But I am worried hor that he will not get enuf Calcium this time round... wah laoz... will be liddat anot huh?
My bf didn't beat him today. I was heart pain to hear that but that bunny is in his place. Can't say anything much. I find his beating method works sometime though I am not advocating it. My hamster loves to bite. There was a time when he hit her real hard on her nose and she nearly went mad. I was mad with bf also but realised that she NEVER attempts to bite after that. However, my bunny still ok today. He is very happy leh! I describe his actions to Puppy and she told me she did binkies today! HAHAHA!!! He did that many times... dunno why he so happy.

of cos happy la... anyway no need to worry about it not getting enough calcium la,mature rabbits usu dun need that much calcium.. well, actually burgess is not that bad,u jus needed to feed lesser i suppose..there's oxbow(basic T)for mature rabbits,APD timothy pellets(which are not sold evrywhere),heard that the minimal food also quite popular

Geraldo, u feeding ur bun with Minimal now? Does ur bunny like them? How much u feed ur bunny huh? how many handful a day?
I fed my bunny with Burgess Supa and his urine became milky. Now reduced alot! Fed him only 1 and 1/3 handful per day. Think it's kinda like starving him leh... that's why I am intending to mix Burgess with something else.
Since u mentioned that Oxbow is so not well like... I wun buy lor. What abt Minimal? Ur bunny likeS?
Pls pls pls... lemme know how much u feed ur bunnies k... like erm.. how many handful or pellets per day.
