Actually her bunny has been losing weight. I told her it could be tooth root infection that cause him unable to eat well. I did tell her about your puppy's case. She is also a forum member of HRSS but only posted occassionally.
I will let her know again. See if she wants to observe the bunny with treatment of baytril first or to seek 2nd opinion. If you don't mind I will get her to contact you, thr phone or e-mail.
I know the surgery is very painful. Saw those pics of Oolong surgery. Somemore no anesthetic leh. Coz I think the owner scared he got allergy to anesthetic lor.

hahaha... i was trying to recall whether the neck is the rump or the back is the rump. cant recall the diagram showing the names of each part... so it's the back. at least i never guess it's the stomach area. at least my memory still working a bit lah... hahaha... trying to make myself feel better... think many owners will want their bunnies to sleep with them. any advice for them on how to train them not to pee on bed, not to anyhow run, ...? what to look out for? haha....ya your memory still working. how many megabyte? actually I didn't invite them to my bed. When the were young, they come up themselves when i go to bed. And just occupy that corner. I decided not to let them in to my room but they will knock, scratch and bang my bedroom door until I surrender. So I give in to them lor. Allow them to sleep on my bed. I put extra waterproof sheet and a cloth on my bed. Sometimes they do pee lor. Guess they sleep so well on my bed and refuse to go to their own toilet. But that only happen occasionally. And I forgive them. Actually they never disturb me when I sleep leh. So far behave very well. Want to add on, they only come to my bed at night. They won't do it in the day, even they have access to it. If I stay up late at night, they will go to the bed first to wait for me. So sweet.

if her bunny is always grinding his teeth loudly, then better bring to vet asap. abscess hor, better not play-play. meanwhile, can feed the bunny echinacea. when puppy got abscess, dr ling never give baytril. only gave PEN-G jabs. no painkillers either 'cause she said it's near the jaws. i got another friend whose bunny got abscess at the same area as puppy's. but MUCH worse and serious. bunny very much older too. the abscess came back after 3-4 months ah. for puppy, his abscess came back after 5-6 months. the longer u wait, the serious it gets, the higher chance of recurring. my another friend's bunny got abscess (soft small 1) at the toe when bunny still VERY young. 'cause discovered early and 'cause it's small and soft, no need surgery. just need to squeeze out pus. till date, no recurrence at all. what dr ling might do is to do a x-ray on the bunny. see what exactly happen. abscess can be hard or soft. big or small. no problem. can ask her to contact me. i seldom go to HRSS 'cause have been very busy lately and my pc very slow. dun even have much time for GT... aiyo!!! the owner didnt give his bunny anesthetic during surgery?! that's PAINFUL!!!! why like that? very selfish leh... i'll IM u my hp #. let me know the person's nick and wat breed she has, k?

geraldo, cottontail > he's eating since he got back from dr ling. as if nothing happen lor. drank a lot of water at first. then start to eat and eat. think it's 'cause he didnt eat and drink the whole day. went to fetch him only at around 6+pm mah. he's doing fine once he got home. like nothing happened at all. no grinding of teeth anymore. slept the whole night yesterday. like SUPER tired like that. slept until nearly fall to his side. dr ling wasnt there when i collect puppy. the clinic asst said not to stress him for next 3 days. dun let him play with other bunnies. supposed to call dr ling today to ask her whether i can continue the PEN-G jabs but i forgot. will call tomorrow. i think should be trim lah. she told me need to trim his teeth inside. i didnt expect it to be so long. will check with her again tomorrow. might have to leave my no. for dr ling to call me after she close for the day 'cause tomorrow sunday, sure very busy 1. dunno if need to always bring back for regular trimming. dun think so lah. if like that hor, he everytime must be put under anaesthetic just to trim his inside teeth leh. hope no need ah... me also cant remember molar is front or back. thought incisor is the back teeth, until cottontail correct me. hahahaha... the teeth trimmed are the inside ones. so i supposed should be the molar teeth. will check with dr ling tomorrow. didnt get to see her that day 'cause she wasnt around. got many qns to ask her actually. but thank god, at least puppy is behaving very normally lor. eating and drinking normally. the teeth very disgusting hor? till now, i still dun dare to take a closer look leh. dun dare to even take it out 'cause got blood stains on the teeth. actually wanted to bring to chalet to show ppl but thought better not. sekali all no appetite to eat after seeing. hahahaha...

high heels > can lose weight mah... bubblesbiscuit > ya lor... called dr ling today to ask what she actually did to puppy. no chance to talk to her when i collected him that day. said she extracted puppy 3 teeth (inside) 'cause the teeth rot already. after she pulled out the teeth, got pus come out from the gum. she said as long as puppy is eating and drinking well, it's fine. hope he doesnt need to have his teeth extracted again. if not, dunno how he's going to chew his food.
