inky > i would say that hayley havent 100% trust u yet. maybe 'cause when puppy just came into my life, i spent almost all my time with him. unless i'm bathing or not home. maybe that's why he managed to trust me v fast. i guess if u can spend lots of time with hayley, u'll see her pant lesser and will really submit to u 100%. if rabbits trust u, they wont pant so much. kan cheong then will pant a lot. unless she got breathing prob lah, which i doubt. any loud high pitch noises will stress the rabbit. told u all when u all just got the rabbit right? unless the rabbit is v used to the environment liao. try to ask the kids not to shout or scream for the time being, until ur rabbit is really really used to the environment. maybe that's why till now she still cant trust u all that much and will pant a lot. it'll make her v timid, dunno when and wat to expect. v stressful 1 lor. i would say to lock the cage if u r not home or if u know they are coming. or if ur maid knows that they are coming, ask her to put a lock on the cage. and maybe bring the rabbit to a place where they cant go. letting the kids stress hayley out so much will only make her NOT trust human at all. shake head can either mean got ear mites or she's happy. i guess hayley did that to show that she's happy to see u 'cause she shake head and , jump all over the cage (left and right). happy lor. just like dogs lor. if u r referring to grunting (which can be quite loud), females tend to grunt. but if they are used to u liao, they wont grunt anymore. groundnut and peanut are females and they seldom grunt unless 1 of them hump the other. but one of my black female (timi) will grunt at watever comes near her, except the dogs. but she still allows me to carry, trance her. will relax, wont pant. i think timi grunts so much 'cause she has been 'bullied' by other rabbits b4. so she became v timid. to me, grunting is their way of showing their fear and disapproval. if it's snorting, like a pig, but softly, puppy does that too when he hops around me. can hear that if i'm v near him. if that's the sound, then it's nothing bad.

inky > i would say that hayley havent 100% trust u yet. maybe 'cause when puppy just came into my life, i spent almost all my time with him. unless i'm bathing or not home. maybe that's why he managed to trust me v fast. i guess if u can spend lots of time with hayley, u'll see her pant lesser and will really submit to u 100%. True la. Sometimes we not at home got sch also. Very busy then night must work. Always trying to spend time with her. But sometimes if she'll jus keep more still things would be so much better.. haha any loud high pitch noises will stress the rabbit. told u all when u all just got the rabbit right? unless the rabbit is v used to the environment liao. try to ask the kids not to shout or scream for the time being, until ur rabbit is really really used to the environment. maybe that's why till now she still cant trust u all that much and will pant a lot. it'll make her v timid, dunno when and wat to expect. v stressful 1 lor. i would say to lock the cage if u r not home or if u know they are coming. or if ur maid knows that they are coming, ask her to put a lock on the cage. and maybe bring the rabbit to a place where they cant go. letting the kids stress hayley out so much will only make her NOT trust human at all. I think the monsters are ok. Juz don't like it when they don't ask permission and open the cages. Think InKy exaggerating abit la. THey where got scream at top of voices? shake head can either mean got ear mites or she's happy. i guess hayley did that to show that she's happy to see u 'cause she shake head and , jump all over the cage (left and right). happy lor. just like dogs lor. Ya was abit worried about ear mites. But its not constantly la. Usually in the early morning when we on light wanna feed her etc. Then she'll run left right left right den shake head with a single snort. Its not very soft but at times u can't hear it if it's snorting, like a pig, but softly, puppy does that too when he hops around me. can hear that if i'm v near him. if that's the sound, then it's nothing bad. AHEM like rabbit like owner.. TSK TSK Sometimes i hear stomping. Then alot of times i thought is hayley angry but when i look at her she actually is grooming her fur with her back feet leh. Which makes the thumping sound. So is it she angry or juz grooming? Usually we let her out in the room she lives in and occasionally with time she'll go to inky's brother's room with the bed. Think hayley likes that room bcos when she always go in got aircon one so sometimes she head straight for that room. Then she'll normally hop around on the queensize bed lor.

animosity > ya lor... that's why try not to go out so often lor. other than go sch / work, go home accompany hayley lor. when i start to have pets, i seldom go out enjoy life liao. most of my time, spend with my pets, esp if pets still new to environment.
young rabbits tend to be more curious and active. as they grow older, they'll slowly become less active. and rabbits are usu more active at night.
any loud noises will stress the rabbits, unless they are alr used to it, and used to the environment.
i dun think hayley got ear mites lah. 'cause the way u all describe her behaviour, i think she's just happy and excited to see u all. unless she shake head + scratch ear often. ok, i think i know what u mean by the snort sound liao. i think should be the same sound as wat puppy made when he's playing with me.
stamping feet usu means they feel threatened / unhappy with something. sometimes they do that to attract attention. i think maybe she stamp feet, then pain lor, so she start licking her feet fur. hahahaha... if she's grooming, she wont stamp feet 1st lah. i think she's not happy.
ya... i find that rabbits all like cool places, esp LH ones. and they all love to stand on soft stuff (eg. bed). last time when puppy is still young, he alw like to do binkies on my bed. wah... hayley can jump onto the bed liao ah? be careful of her spine hor, esp if the bed is high. she might miss the bed accidentally. just be careful.
