Yup, he is the same baby. Keke, he has grown alot, but he is still not adult size yet. Ya, he biting the shovel. I dunno if it's really called that. My bf calls it a spade. We use that when we clean the pets cages. To scoop bedding. Easy to wash and keep clean cos it's stainless steel, hehehe. I bought Snowball for $400. I think it's quite an ok price. Pet shops selling more than $1k, and some home breeders quote $500 for silver white. Plus he is very tame. I still keep in touch with his previous owner, we're friends now. He's alwiz glad to see Snowball's pics. Hahaha...

Kekeke, ya. I think so far, I'm quite fortunate cos most chin owners I meet are very happy and willing to share their expertise. I haven't met any chin owners who are jerks. But then, of course, I remember Caley, Egan and Haruki. Their owner was a big jerk. :angry1: But I dunno him personally. I bought Snowball when he was 6 mths old. He is abt 3 months younger than Hanako. He is now 10 mths old I believe. He is still growing. Definitely grew bigger and fatter these past few months. Hehehe... I remember his father, Sumo, is quite big. I hope he'll grow up to be as big. Petslover: I'm sure you'll be able to get a silver white next time too. Very fast one, dun worry. In the meantime, just take good care of your Maomao.

ghost> I think all of us also get mad when we hear abt abuse and neglect. It's a natural reaction for us who love these animals. bubblesbiscuit> lolz Ya, he is very cute. I tell you, my bf very biased one. Take pics alwiz take him only. Not interested in taking pics of the rest. I'm the only one who takes pics of the rest of the chins. I told him to help me take a pic of Hanako, but it came out all blur and out of focus. Hopeless. He not interested, so anyhow take. Wahaha, stupid. I must take the pics myself. :cheese: lolz Ya, Snowball is not scared of my half naked bf. I warned him that if he hugs Snowball, he might bite off my bf's 'nini'. Wahahaha! He has the habit of not wearing shirt at home, so if he hugs the pets, some of them will show him their displeasure. One time, Chloe angry, scratched his chest badly. Ahahaha, think that time she wanted to run, and he caught her and hold her, so she angry. Another time, I asked him to hold my Bunbun for a while, I clean her cage and litterbox. He stand there and hold her, she suddenly jumped and kicked him, left scratches on his chest also. lolz He got many old battle scars from the pets. Yeah, that's great! Then you can share the joy of chinchillas too!

For Snowball, he rarely gets pee stains. I've kept him for these months, and he's never gotten any. I think the reason is cos he never sleeps on his pee. He alwiz likes to sleep on the 2nd floor, and he never pees there. So he doesn't get any stains. My other silver white, Spider, does get pee stains. This fellow sleeps and pees everywhere. But luckily, the pee stains normally clear up quite quickly.
I dun think chins come in golden/orange colour like puddings. Their golden, as in golden mosaic, is a light brown, but not the same as the pudding colour. I agree that they'll look very nice in that shade. The closest chin colour to that, in my opinion, wld be champagne or blond. That's a very light variation of beige. But they are not very common here. I've seen them before, but so far, I think I only saw 2 or 3.
