dun have a digi cam so not much chance to update their pics...also kinda lazy...hee hee
yup...mama pig is unfriendly...hee...she will bite bite & she gets annoyed very easily...cannot ka jiao her. Her character is very unguinea pig like. She also dun purr when we pat her. The rest will purr...she will just stretch her body & let us pat that's all...a bit attitude...but i like her cos she is very bold...not shy shy & not as timid as other piggies...
She used to take morning walk from her cage in the living room to my room & she will return back to her cage when she is tired. Somehow she stopped doing that...Nowadays even if u leave her door open she will come out for a short while only...maybe she is older now so very lazy...
one good thing about guinea pigs is that they won't escape even though u dun close their cage...even if they come out, they will go home by themselves....hee hee....

yeah they are quite timid....hee hee...but after keeping them for sometime, they will become very daring...for example, today, when i reach home, my piggies were all very hungry & when i go over to their cage to look at them, sausage came out of her cage & walk towards me....she always do that when she want food! So cute!
my younger sis is thinking of keeping dogs..but i feel that if we keep dogs, we won't be able to leave sausage's door open all the time cos the dog might attack her when she comes out to walk walk...her baby still dun dare to come out to walk walk yet......everytime his mum comes out, he will be very agitated & will wheek very very loudly & run around the cage very frantically....Mama pig's deceased male companion used to do that when she comes out of her cage to walk walk...i remember when they were still living together he will definitely follow her when she comes out. I find that male guinea pigs tend to be very attached to their female companion.

Opening the mouth etc is one thing... Am I the only one who has ever seen guinea pigs embroiled in a full fledged fight with bedding scattered in all directions? scary, i tell ya..real scarry.. and yeah..my guinea pigs don't come out of the cage even though I leave their door open.. guess they're just too lazy.. ;D

i've seen piggies fight before...sausage fought with mama pig & chickadee before...when i got her, i wana put her with the rest of the piggies but my 2 existing gals simply can't get along with her.
aquila: yeah lor.....the gals usually bo chap the males...the males tend to be very attached to the females & when the female is not around...they very agitated...will run around frantically....wheek very loudly...
I find female piggies are more bold & independent...so far only my female piggies like to come out to walk walk & they like to simply just chill out at some corner...the males seldom do that....hmm..only speedy used to do that....but he only got the courage to come out for walks cos he wana follow mama pig...*sigh*...so useless....hahaha...

aquila: hahaha..ur guniea pigs and mine have the same behaviour....But i think mama pig was also quite attached to speedy, her previous companion. Cos when he passed away....she behaved quite oddly for a few weeks....like running away when we try to pat her....& she actually came out of her cage trying to find Speedy...cos Speedy has a fave corner & he likes to hide sometimes & she actually went there a few times & when she could'nt find him, she run back to her cage.....it's quite unlike her cos usually when she comes out for walk walk...she will tend to stay at some corner for a while before going back...

And oh yeah... all my gps are male..fits the theory of males not daring to venture out of the cage.. they seem perfectly content to stay inside even if the door is left open.. and they're all eager to get back in when you take them out.. sheesh..and I thought it's usually the male gps that fight..
