"You're my sunshine, my only sunshine.
You make me happy when skies are grey.
You never know dear, how much I love you...
Please don't take my sunshine away..."
This song revolves around my head the whole morning... My Wally has passed away early this morning while all of us were in bed. My mum could not get him to respond when she looked in at him and we got up to check. He was already stiff. We were all so sad tt we couldn't stop crying...
It is only when I picked him up to place him inside the 'coffin' when I saw he had bled from his nose. The blood was not dried yet so we deduced he died in the morning. It was heartbreaking to see him so. Although we were sad, a part of us was glad tt he is now free from any pain.
I can see he reaching his end soon on Thurs nite when I got home.. He was breathing hard and I hear his bones knocking tog clearly since Thurs nite. I thought he's dying then, he seemed so listless and tired. Miraclously, he survived. He was shivering all day yesterday, and holed up in his house. But we found him lying in his toilet (fav spot) in the morning.
I blamed myself why I did not look in at him last nite after I got home. cos I had a quarrel with my mum, I was too upset to look in at him. Now, I can't even play with him nor touch him anymore... We buried him under another mango tree at our void deck as the one Biscuits was buried under was dug up.
We spent the afternoon looking at his photos and remiscing about his ways and antics...
Rest in peace Wally.... We'll all miss you
