Thanks! ghost > it's better to ask someone who knows how to trim rabbits' nails to show to ur colleague's wife. try not to let petshops do it. ur colleague's wife can try to cut but v risky lor. if her bunny can be tranced, still not so diffi. and if nails are light color, still not so bad. but i still would recommend her to ask some1 who knows how to do it, to show to her 1st. or ask her to do it in front of some1 who knows. at least got guidance. if she wants to do it herself, try to get stop-bleed powder 1st. even so, i still do not encourage lor. 'cause some bunnies once kena trim until bleed liao hor, they scared liao. next time dun let ppl clip nails liao. then v cham.

'cause sometimes bunnies scratch us not 'cause their nails are sharp and long. sometimes is unintentional 1 lor. maybe they are not comfy in certain positions, they'll jump off from human's arms, accidentally scratching us. even if nails are trimmed liao, if bunnies struggle, they scratch us unintentionally again. some ppl will file bunnies' nails but i dun 'cause my bunnies dun like the feeling (vibration). so usu after trimming their nails, i'll let them play a while, let them file their nails NATURALLY. after a few days, even if they scratch us by accident, it wont be so painful.

www.hrss.net/aar/care/care_groom_trimnails.htmlHere is a good link to see how to trim rabbit's nails. Hope it help a little. Getting scratch is quite unavoidable. Most bunny owners get scratch sometime so how. Depends on the character of the rabbits lor. There are some rabbits that simply love to struggle when being held. Btw, HRSS is going to have a adoption drive event on 7th Mar at National Youth Park (Behind Mandarin Hotel). We will be doing grooming service as well. You can inform your friend to go to the event and our volunteer can teach her how to trim nails.

Umm, for me, normally I hold my bunny (cos she is more secure with me) and my bf trims her nails. He is good at it cos he alwiz has to cut the cats' nails. We actually like grooming the pets by ourselves instead of going to a shop, cos it's more fun and it's a way to bond with the pet. This is why the cats are closer to my bf, while the rabbits are closer to me. I don't groom the cats and my bf doesn't groom the rabbits.
Wa, got HRSS drive on 7 Mar!! I want to go! I want to buy stuff again. *nod nod* Yes, must go. Keke, am glad that I managed to log on and find out, else will miss it.
