Hey everyone, I just upgraded my cat's cage. It's very big, and my room is very cramped right now. My bf and I have been discussing this problem. He thinks that if I'm willing, I shld let go of my smaller animals, like my hamsters. It's not cos I dun have time for them, but my room is really cramped. I bang into stuff now, when I'm moving abt trying to feed them.
Of course, I objected, but I admit that I dun want to make things difficult. It's true that my room is even more cramped than before. I can't move anymore cages outside my room, cos I have 3 big cages outside in the living room. And my mum is already unhappy abt them in the living room, cos she wanted them to stay in my room only.
I really dun want to do this, I dun want to give up my hamsters. My bf has already mentioned that if I give up my hamsters, he'll give up his gerbils, to create space. So it's quite a major decision for me, and I'm very very reluctant and confused. I dun want to clear my hamsters! But I dunno how to create space in my room, that's impossible. I can't wave a wand and have more space in my room. Quite unhappy abt this these days.

i vote for not sure hahha but i prefer 80% dun give them up and 20% give them up.... cos u can try to maximize the place by buying racks or i have seen that ppl use those plastic drawers to put their hamsters in there...good idea actually... ... and at least give up a few not all...as long as u are happi about the space....then is ok....try to spend ur free time thinking how to clear them...and i belive u have GP....u can stack their cages....there is actually many ways lor...just need to twist a bit or our brains....

How many hamsters do u have in your room & how cages they occupy??r they in tanks?? do u have a bed in your room??hehe....any wardrobe??u may wan to think of sleeping in the living room tho....i'm not the type who'll encourage pple to give up their pets....but if space is really that contraints,u'll have to think of ways like converting cages to tanks so that u can stack em up....or be like highheels....use multiple drawers to conserve space & yet have plenty of space for your hammies....makes cleaning easier too......what r the pets in your room & their quantity....i hope to be able to help u......

I vote "NO"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hehehe.. dun wan lah. U keep banging onto things and it is cramp only mah. Then dun breed and dun buy more pets lor. To be neater, can use drawers. To save space, can divide each drawers into half. So for eg, u get a 4 tier drawers, u will be able to accomodate 8 pairs of hamsters cos u divide each drawers into half mah. Good idea hor. Aiyah... dun give up. I can't imagine giving up something which i called 'love'.

Just went 2 check out ur other thread with pics of ur room . 4 me ( oni myself hor ) I might fix more wooden shelvings ( broader type )like the 1 u 've now , with the stuff dolls .Put their cages on these shelvings . Have a few at eye level , 4 easy reach . As 4 their current shelvings , u can shift all the pets suppliers n necesssity on it or simply shift it out of the room . Btw , can stack up the chin's cages anot?? izit they free acess of the room ?? if yes , then mayb not lor . But if no , ever thought of stacking or izit advisable ?? Cos' if i decides 2 keep hammies again , will most probally place their cages on top of my bunnies cage .Save space lor ....... dun want 2 get anymore shelvings lor if not my dinning cramp . If it's OK 2 stack , ever thought of putting 1 chin's cage on top of the cat's cage anot???do u think it will work?? me just wondering ?

highheels> Actually, I'm not breeding hamsters anymore. I stopped more than 2 months ago. Only the gerbils are still having babies, but they have also been cutting down on litters themselves. And I did not get new breeding pairs. So no one in my animal menagerie is pregnant now. All my syrians and winter whites are housed solitary, so no chance to get pregnant too. lolz Why so many pp in love with Chloe? Kekeke, so dangerous. Got a kidnapping conspiracy like that. geraldo> I'll post up the new pics of my room so you all can see what it's like now. I haven't decided yet, but it's possible that I won't clear my hamsters and gerbils. Cos my bf didn't mention it anymore. But I admit I hate it that my room is even smaller now. Maybe getting banged here and there may not seem very important. But then, it's quite often! And I dun like the feeling. Of course I can just say I'm clumsy la, but then, I bang my arms, my elbow, sometimes my head. Bang my foot and toes also. It hurts. So I want to do something abt it.

lolz We're not uptight la! We are joking too, hehehe. I got joke with my bf before, I told him to sell Chloe. He looked horrified and stared at me accusingly. I was angry and ended quarrelling with him, cos I cldn't believe that he took me seriously. I mean, can't he tell I was joking and that I wld never sell her!?
I was so mad at him, that he thought I was someone who wld abandon my cat. Grrr...
