Perhaps my place belongs to an opposition party ba...that's why goverment bo chap....anyway,it's so nice to see so many cats around my place where many don't get to see anymore....cats are one of my fav animals too....

Dear Ms Tan
Thank you for your mail of 13 Apr 2004.
Pets can be identified in a number of ways eg by putting a collar with an identification tag attached around the neck of the pet, having a microchip implanted under the skin of the pet (done by a vet) and tattooing the ears. Owners may choose one or more ways to identify their pets.
We would advise you to try to confine your cat within the limits of your house for its own safety. A cat roaming outside on its own may face various dangers. These dangers include being knocked down by a vehicle, getting into fights with other cats or accidentally trapped/caught. We wish to inform you that AVA does not trap or catch cats. We do however loan out cat traps to people who have a problem with stray cats. Such caught cats are then brought to AVA. Dogs and cats brought to AVA which appear to be owned eg have a collar, microchip etc are retained for at least 5 working days, pending collection by the owner.
Yours sincerely
DR LEOW SU HUA for CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER AGRI-FOOD AND VETERINARY AUTHORITY

Poor Meow Meow... Wait lor, hope she turns up... Animals know when to hide bah... But too bad she's so friendly. Haiz, sometimes i wonder if feeding them is right. they need the food, but then again feeding them makes them less afraid of humans and causes them to get caught. sad.
