dog cert only mah... no big deal. most impt is dog is healthy. whether really pedigree or not, not impt. unless plan to bring for show.

ya lor... most impt is must love the dog. but it's impt to know how to see the REAL cert, so at least buy dog, wont kena conned by petshops. rabbits also got proper cert leh. i've seen b4 but cant rem by which association liao. also got the heritage 1.

Hmm....now at least i have a better understanding of the cert stuffs too.....wonder if hamsters will have a cert too?

If I'm not wrong, the SKC cert is blue in colour, with a red round stamp on it certified by SKC. Then you'll see the big SKC logo and all the names and colours of the dog's ancestors. My bf's dog is certified by SKC, cos her parents are also certified. So the owner applied to SKC for him, then my bf paid for the transfer of ownership of the dog, which is in the cert on the back, to show who bred and owns the dog. He paid $200 plus to SKC just for the cert alone, not to join the club.
The cert is typed and printed, but will have the club director's (or chief officer or something) and the secretary's signature also.
