u know hor, kids who nv carry pets / rabbits b4, can carry puppy rather long without having him struggle leh. i think it's the way one carry them lor. with care and love or very bo chap 1. groomers handle pets so often until they bo chap liao. maybe that's why.

Oh ya, is there anything i can feed otahz, supplements like calcium or something, to aid in his recovery? currently im putting him on a diet of pellets and hay only, strictly no treats at all, cuz scared he lao sai and infect his wound. im cleaning the cage and disinfecting it daily.

u didnt ask the vet what u can give as supplements to help in recovery? she didnt mention anything. it was a different vet from the one that did the surgery. he flew off liao, arranged for another vet to teach me. by the time i knew she knocked off liao. so i only get to ask bout bunny care, and forgot the supplements. is it necessary? if it is i better call and ask.

when puppy undergoes surgery, when i ask dr ling about supplements, she always make it sound like it's not necessary. but if i want, can feed supplement, eg. echinacea. but u must know how much to feed. diff mg diff amt.

Erm....i don't know much abt bunny, but i recently bought some vitamin branded by Minimal which is said to be good for hamsters & bunnies....it's looks like those tube form of a disposable saline solution which one dosage contains in one tube.....got 10 of such tubes in a box tho..... I was told suitable for bunnies which has to undergo long distance which helps to distress em....pls do not take my word for it untill i tried it out on my own pets 1st.....sorry.....

poor otahz... I feel so sorry for her.. i have a story i would like to share too.. My friend's guinea pig dislocated his leg while playing and my friend was very worried and brought the piggy to Mt P for checkup. The vet says she can pay $300 for the operation or just let the piggy limp around for the rest of his life. The $300 bill was too pricey for my friend at that time and she had no choice but to go for the 2nd option. Three months later the piggy seems to have recovered. It can jump and run, only thing is when u can feel the proturbing bone in the injuried leg. Anyway my friend bought the piggy to the vet in james tan for a checkup. The vet there said that the piggy's leg had healed on its own and there was no need for an ops in the first place; if my friend had brought the piggy to him, he would have just casted the injuried leg... Strange.. two vets 2 different opinions.

mochi > it's case to case basic 1 lor. usu if pets are not bothered by the limping leg, vet will suggest leaving it alone. that's why no matter what, just bring to EXPERIENCED vets to see what they suggest lor. they know the best 1 lor. better not wait lor.
that time 1 of my bunnies fractured 3 of his leg bones. dr ling suggested to cast it and let it heal by itself. my friend's bunny break the toe. but dr ling said must remove. so all depends 1 lor. no fixed solution 1.
