All antibiotic may disrupt animals' digestive system. So got to monitor closely their poo and eating pattern. It is advisable to give rabbit acidophillus to build up the good intestine flora.
For me I give Benebac whenever I give anitbiotic to my pet. Give acidophillus 2 hours after giving the antibiotic.
If your rabbit's eating pattern is not affected after giving Pen-G, it is ok to continue. Though it is no good for long term but weighing the pros and cons of treating her severe abscess, you have no choice. The only thing you can do is to build up her immune and good intestine flora.

Benebac is a form of probiotic/acidophillus also. It is available from vet and pet shops. I believe Namly has another type of probiotic which I heard is better than Benebac. Namly usually prescribes that for GI problem. I forgotten the name....
So whether you choose probac adult/ benebac or the one from the vet, I think they should work the same.
The light brown col poo could be due to the food she eats. Eg, if you feed more oat hay, the poo colour is more brown col as compared to when you feed other types of hay, the poo is darker brown to black.
Is she not eating due to Pen-G or was she already like dat b4 Pen-G jab?

found raw 'burdork'....at ntuc at pet safari. But how 2 feed bunny? cook in soup? grind? any 1 any idea? Give raw. Just peel off the skin and cut into thin slices. I gave my bunny abt 4-5 slices with the veggies. Here's what my friend sent me last time:- Burdock, echinacea root, and especially comfrey root and/or leaves are good for treating the abscess on your bunny's foot. Comfrey is high in allantoin, a cell proliferant. In the event that the abscess is due to toxins in the blood, you can also give the bunny burdock, red clover (the bunny will probably love this--I give the fresh flowerheads), and echinacea internally. To make the external comfrey tea for washing the abscess, add one teasthingy of the herb to a cup of water and simmer on low for twenty minutes if you are using the roots (if you let them sit over night in the water, then only simmer for ten minutes on low); If you are using the leaves, then pour a cup of boiling water over a teasthingy of the leaves and let this steep for fifteen minutes. Then strain and use. The tea will be slick to the feel.
