I just called Animal Recovery Centre at Pet Safari, wanted to make an appointment for fixing Nut, BUT i stopped when i found out the price is 120 Anyone noe what is the updated price for sterilisation now? If it's much cheaper elsewhere i'll rather go to the well known vets. Sorry ghost, dunno where to put this topic

why dun u let dr ling of namly do it instead? dun think ARC in pet safari is one of the rabbit savvy vets leh. the charges for spaying is usu more exp than neutering. 'cause the surgery is more complicated. i think dr ling charges from $90 to $120.

Dr Ling operated on my gerbil also. He died 2 weeks later cos he tore out his stitches again. But he survived the op.

lol Ya. Off topic, but really only Dr Ling do the op for me ma. lol Spent $128 on the op, but he went and keep ripping the stitches out, even though it must have been so painful, he still did it.

Ya, not cheap. But what really upset us was that he kept trying to tear out his stitches, and he succeeded in the end. There is no effective way to keep him from tearing them. We put the antibiotic powder and gave him toys and food, try to distract him, also no use. Once through the night, the next morning, check on him, he wld have torn out a little bit more. It was infuriating plus frustrating cos he really refused to stop lor. Very cham. Gerbils can't wear a plastic ruff, like dogs, to keep them from getting at their wounds.

What about Dr Hsu from Animal Clinic? I know he is gentle to small pets.

Dr Hsu is not bad as well, but I don't really like Animal Clinic cos of their staff's service. Their attitude not very good. lol But then, Dr Hsu is quite an experienced vet. I've met Dr Grace Heng of Animal Clinic also, and she was quite friendly and had a good attitude towards my chinchilla.
