Hi Bubblez, I wouldn't be in here so early if u hadn't tell me abt ur Pearlz. Am definitely worried for her and hope the best for her. I don't know where u read abt those tilted head buns that didn't survived cos what I read was, they do survive. Hahaha!! So I definitely hope that u will stay strong and always hope for the best for Pearlie. Though I may be a little pessimistic sometimes if it was my pet, but still your care for Pearl n your optmistism will give her encouragement too. Read that animals can feel our feelings when we express it out wholeheartedly. Feel that u ought to put down some of the burden and take a rest for now. There is nothing u can do until next Monday! So why not wait till next Monday or Sunday then start worrying? For now, channel your energy to better stuffs. I wish you and pearlie all the best. Will pray that she pulls through.

Oh no Bubbles. So sorry. Was very worried when I read this thread. I hope Pearl will get better. Actually I read in HRSS most recent newsletter, abt Head Tilt. They did a feature article on it. In their next issue, they're gonna feature "Caring for a bunny with head tilt". One of their sanctuary rabbits has it, and they showed some pics of him. I saw that his cage is entirely padded up with cloths, as a safely padded pod for him. I think it's to make sure he doesn't hurt himself, since it affects a rabbit's sense of balance.
Do update us soon on how Pearl is. You must take care also ok? Dun be too upset. Try to get Pearl through this first, cos if you're too upset, she might feel it and be upset too. Give her many hugs and kisses and you must rest when you can also. Dun stress yourself too much. Take care.

Highheels, online the sites all US/UK sites.. they seem to have better treatment methods over there for bunnies with head tilt...but personally i know a few people whose bunnies died cos of head tilt.. Daniel's bunny was one..had to b put to sleep. It seems bigger breeds will take it better than small breeds n u know Pearl is very very small... Just now took her out to feed her medicine n she struggled....ended up flopping around n not knowing how to turn back. Thats really bad.She just stays in one corner n i already put the bottle, food n pellets there...she drank some water jus now..but not eating much...i fed her a bit of Critical Care but never eat much leh i hope she responds well to treatment..read something about giving ivomec.. goin to call Dr Ling to ask her if can give Pearl that cos it supposedly stops the spread of the bacteria..

Pipi, ur skin very thick hor... hahahaah!!! Yah u are a very nice and caring girl. HAHAHAH!!! Of course must care for your girlfriend's pet lahz!
Bubblez, Dr Ling fed my hamster with ivomec before... i oso dunno why she fed her that time. Maybe u can call up to ask if they can feed ur pearlie lor. I dunno what u r feeding pearlie now, but i think too much medicine may not be good.
I think Daniel's bunny 's head tilt is a different type right? Not exactly head tilt or what... u better confirm with him. Dun give urself so much worries before confirming anything. It'll really sap all ur energy lehz!

i feel so sad after reading this...cause remind me when my piggies got sick...was so worried as well.
U might wana try this homeopathy thingy that is sold in ARC. When my mama pigy got sick several months ago, i brought her there. Wanted to see Dr Ly but he was not around so went to Dr JAckson instead. She was into natural & holistic healing so beside the daily injections that i give her, i also feed her the homeopathy solution...it's supposed to improved her immune system & helps the body to heal naturally.
Personally i feel that in serious cases, the daily injections is very effective cos i brought both my piggy to Dr Ling & Dr Ly before & the injections improved his condition faster. But in the case of surgery, i feel Dr Ling is more experienced.
