Some male bunny can have retracted testicles. Either one side or both. I have came across both cases. One is our fostered bunny and the other is my friend's bunny.
The vet would need to neuter it by opening the stomach. More like a female spaying. My friend's bunny which was 7 mth old that time have both testicles retracted. Totally no sign of ball ball at all but it has been confirmed by Dr Ling that it is a male. Dr Ling said even if wait for another mth the testicles will still remain inside, so have to neutering him another method. The cost is $40 more.
It will be good to neuter him. I heard from someone that retracted testicle are prone to developing cancer at later stage. But I am not sure if this information is reliable as I havn't search the web for this.

i guess u could always call Dr Ling to ask for a professional opinion? i also heard that for animals (esp dogs) with jus one ball....must go for sterilisation cos more prone to cancer...should also note that these males with one ball should not b used in mating cos its a genetic fault. will shift this to bunnies health instead

juz to keep u guys updated! o'tahz is now neutered. He has this little incision in his lower belly, i guess where the retracted ball is. But i can still see the remaining ball outside le.. maybe in time to come it will be "sucked" in, like wot dr ling told me. lol. cost around $120 for his op, cuz retracted testicle harder to remove.

In the initial few days, the ball will be slightly swell and hard. The ball will gradually shrink and disappear within one month.
How come $120 ha? My friend paid $100 leh. That is $60 (neutering) + $40 (additional charge)
