looks like daniel is not around sometime well,me is no expert but if im not wrong,u have to make a declaration that its ur pet n also that u kept it for some time...but not sure if it applies if u go to some other country on visiting pass. The relevant authorities to check it out with on the importing n exporting of pets should b AVA loh.

well,... if i am not wrong, you will need the relevant certification papers prior to bringing any imported animal into Singapore. 1. Import Certification obtained from AVA Singapore. More details found at www.ava.gov.sg Application forms for importation and contact details can be found here. 2. Health Certificate obtained from the vet from which country you are importing the animal from. 3. Transportation. There are several types available. But most importantly, have to check with the airline on which types are available. Most airlines have changed their policy over time, and also due to the recent SARS problem encountered. 4. Alternatively, the least hassle, but expensive way is to let a pet transportation company do everything for you. If you are intending to go over to the US yourself and bring it in, I would assume that the costs might be lower than going to pet transportation companies. I believe that there is no quarantine required at the quarantine centre in Singapore, but, it may need to be under home quarantine (at your own place). I suggest writing to AVA for more accurate information. Cheers !

I have a type of chinchilla cage which is plastic bottom, 3 storeys high. Each level is using untreated wood for its flooring. I dun have the exact dimensions but roughly is 3ft x 2ft x 2 1/2ft (LxBxH) Cost : $180 self collect or $200 with delivery (accessories not included) Condition is brand new.

It isn't easy to import ur own pet in here. Need to go through many procedures and checking.
Daniel, the cage really nice leh.... Feel like to upgrade my current chin cage but I prefer cage with a tray underneath. My chin urine alot.. so I got to change it everyday. Where to get the wooden panel? Need to custom-make wan rite?

Need to custom-make wan rite? sorry for the late reply... long time since I've logged onto the web... now on 56K dial up somemore U can get the wooden panels from hardware/DIY shops and get them to cut down to size for you... but make sure that it is untreated wood, otherwise, your chins when gnawing on them must get toxic poisoning... Alternatively, try Ikea, sometimes they might have some planks made from untreated wood for sale.
