For his life...i'm feeding him Minimal Food....i think this guy is jus plain hardworking....everyday,u'll see both Paul & Luke moving from one place to another in their cage moving the beddings(corn cobs) as well....they are some of my very 1st hamsters i got....& i'm actually preparing myself for em to go....if not if they suddenly jus go....i'm going to be very very sad...haiz.....

Thanks for sharing these pics...really opened my eyes to "old folks". Oh man, you can see they are old hamsters..... don't mean to be rude but I have never seen such old hamsters. Ghost, you really did a good job with them till such a ripe old age. When I saw Elna, my eyes nearly got tears come out...... Same with humans, old also will look and behave liddat. But compare of all of them hor, King looks the fittest.

No worries abt that,Juwel....tho they are old,but they are still very cute one,hehehe....think of those funny things they do everyday even at those age makes me laugh almost everyday ar,hahaha.... Jus add a little more intro to each of em....the most famous one is Elna...my most fiercest hamsters in my years of having hamsters lei....& she is also the one to taught me to understand hamster's charatceristic & to tame hamster....she is my teacher,hehehe....she like to groom her fur & maintain mei mei during her young time....but now....i think she got the heart but don't have the strength liao.....so i took over maitaining her fur mei mei.....hehehe.....but my standard "not up to it" yet,hehehe.... King is around 6 months younger than Elna....he is the forsaken one....being branded as a hopeless hamsters by his previous 3-4 owners....haiz.....lucky i had Elna before i got King,if not i surely uses the wrong method to tame that guy one,hehehe..... Paul & Luke, both staying in the same cage...they & elna are from the same parents....& cos of certain reasons,i cannot put them together w elna....but they are doing fine....jus like elna.... I often brand Paul as the wisest hamsters i got & Luke as the most kiasi & kiasu hamster.....i still remember when i try to intro Elna to their cage that time,Luke was the 1st to come out & intend to fight wrestle with Elna....well,being my fiercest hamster,Luke lost w/o even a hard fight,hahaha....then he'll approach Paul who was sleeping at that time to help him,hehehe...but Paul jus ignore him,hahaha..... BaoBao is the youngest of the rest....he got a bro BeiBei who passaway due to tumour under his throat/neck...haiz....this Baobao is also Great Great Grandfather of 7-8 generation of hamsters that are still living today....he is the most guai one among my ham....& he also got diabetes too....so his cage has to be clean up once every 3-5 days....nevertheless,he is another one besides paul & luke who'd respond to me calling when i call them.....even when they escape,& feel unsure when they are out in the open, they'll come looking for me,hehehe....brilliant,aren't they?

He's celebrating his 2nd CNY wif us! Haha the rascal is still sleeping now on Nian2 Chu1 Yi1! It's past 12pm liao. Celebrate too much last nite I guess Paul looks thin loh.. what are the ways u've tried to make him plump?

Paul looks thin loh.. what are the ways u've tried to make him plump? Using Nutri-Gel....& give em plenty of sunflower seed....not jus Paul is thin....Elna too....but when they were younger, they are as fat as BaoBao or if not fatter.....so,with this evidence,i sometime wonder if it's alrite for hamsters to be fat when they were young & grew thinner when they gets older.....hmmm......still keeping them under observation,at the same time giving them the best of everythig a hamsters can have...i don't want to one day says,"i'm sad of my hamster's death becos i aren't spending enuff quality time with my ham...." & each day with them i value....so when they pass on next time,i can still say me & my hamsters have spend our life together fruitfully & meaningfully.... Maybe one day can invent an elixir to extend their livespan even longer?hehehe.... Maybe they won't even have to die.....*joking*.... Roboham > How old is Wally this year?? Juwel > How old your ham har?

What's Nutri-gel? Hmm, not exactly sure abt his age cos the shop assistant told me they're abt 4-5 months old when I brought them home. It's been a yr loh cos I got them on 17 Jan 2003. So it's abt 1yr 5 mths? Is this consider old? He still looks pretty 'shuai4'

Roboham >> Nutri-gel is a pet-food for dogs....it's in Colgate form of packing, squezzing the gel out jus like a colgate.... Hmmm....hrad to explain how it looks like....think i'll go take a pics & show u at the later part of the week on a new thread.....i don't recommend this food for hamsters becos it's suppose to be for dogs, tho it does helps to fatten hammies.....but feeding too much can be health-hazard to em....2ndly,the feeding isn't so easy....u'll have to make sure your ham "licks" the gel....& making sure that their fur don't touch the gel,cos they'll need to go for Water-bath once their fur kena the gel.....it's sticky....& lastly, not every hamster likes em..... Roboham, your robo seems quite old liao....almost going beyong middle age liao.... Juwel >> Your ham(Mr Vain) at Middle age.....i think it can live up to a ripe old age if u take good care of it.....as age goes up,i think shd avoid too strenous exercise for em lor.....

Hey Ghost, what's the coat pattern of Luke? I've never seen such hamster!
They look old and reminds me of my Cotton and Momo. Momo is one year 8 mths and Cotton is 1 year 7 mths. They are getting skinnier as they aged.... very sad sight. Cotton is sooo skinny until he is becoming sooo boney.
I've a 1 year 6 mths syrian who is still in pick health. i guess syrian lives longer hor?
