puppy<Yah lor........ me now can oni pray n hope all goes well n she starts putting on some weight lor . cottontail< just got the rolled oats from puppy a while ago . Got a sample pack of Burgess supa from her ...... guess what !! BunnypOO manage 2 eat quite a bit , think it's softer than the Minimal i'm feeding her rite now . But can't prepare the puree 2day coz' i think the syringe a bit small n might 've problem feeding her . If me just add pellets n water still soft n easy 4 the slurp 2 pass through but 4 this recipe ( oats ) think will 've harder time 4 pass it through the current syringe me using now . Will get a bigger 1 tommorrow . geraldo > aiyo... u never tell me u dun have big syringe. i got a lot at home leh. all for puppy 1 but now no need to use liao. then how? got problem feeding. maybe u put it in a bowl. see whether she'll lick it or not lor. maybe wear a bib 1st. ur bunny hor, really dun seem bothered by the dislocation leh. just like puppy when he got his abscess. like nothing happen like that. behave very normally. actually i find ur bunny hor, very happy and active and full of mischief leh. see the way she hop around ur house hor, i also very happy. think hor, maybe u want to just make appt to see dr ling lor, regardless of whether the dislocation recover liao or not. can ask her about bunny's teeth since she stopped eating her FAVORITE hay... and can also ask for a normal check up lor... at least u no need to worry so much now. can fang4 xing1.

up to u lor. if u r fine with dr chan, can continue see her 1 mah. no diff lah. u can ask anything that u r not sure about lor. no need to think whether can ask or not 1. getting answers to all ur doubts from vets are the best and most accurate lor. any qns, can just ask them 1. they are very friendly 1. u know hor, bunnypoo is SO happy to be out of cage leh. always dash here and there, binky here and there, non stop 1. that's why i see her do that, i also happy. puppy now old liao. dun do that often liao. now hop like normal but will still binky lah. but less dashing and hitting ppl's leg or his cage by accident liao. hahaha... 2 nuts also now more mature liao. so hor, u better enjoy what she's doing now. wait become mature liao, she'll become less siao liao. but they'll siao in another manner liao. more matured manner. hahahaha... bunnies all know how to show their temper when they not happy hor. always make me feel very bad 1. so end up will let them out. me really spoil them liao. haiz........

Poor Bunny pOO. I pray she is alright and recover soon.
Open wound very easily lead to abscess. If she has it muz be very early stage. Should be easier to treat. Hope that it isn't abscess.

Me so sleepy now........haven't slept since yesterday . Was checking her yesterday n discover white pus coming out of the gum with the loose tooth . I suspect it's abscess!! so waited till 9am this morning 2 make appointment with Dr Chan . Was told if can go over now . After further checking ........ said might b abscess liao n at early stage so still not the end of WORLD! yet . Was worried might 've 2 put her 2 sleep ........ but now like just as bad . Dr Chan did a minor surgery on her this morning under local anaesthetic so as 2 flush out the pus! under her tooth .
Now BunnypOO on Baytril antibiotic , was told quite strong n watch out 4 sign of diarrhoea . And now she on soft diet coz' she 1 to stablise her jaw lst just in case they might 've 2 extract that tooth . Dangerous now n espcially rabbits , their jaw veri delicate n being young........... instead of helping her might end up doing more serious damage like fracturing her jaw . Will b seeig her next fri 2 access her progress . Dr Chan olso mentioned that less serious cases of abscess can actually stablise after this Baytril treatment .
But if still no improvement might consider wiring the jaw........but not now n oni when necessary . Dr Chan quite feni , said if 've 2 do wiring hor ...... Bunny lucky coz' they just got the latest instrument !/ gadget ! meant 4 wiring this wk from oversea !!! not as traumatising as the old method lor .
So me now checking 4 recipe 2 try again , the buster puree mentioned earlier ....... she kept spitting out . Tried the carrot , applesauce n strawberry yoghurt ...... just hate it !! At this stage still Choosy .......

Me hope so too . Btw , today she manage 2 finish her bowl of pellets !! me super HAPPY! 2 day . But duno should let her eat more or let her rest her jaw leh ?? Coz' Dr Chan wanted her 2 rest n avoid further straining of the jaw . So what u kind soul think should i or shouldn't Lucky she's still active ........ tough cookie !! me now hope she pull through without any further complication . Think the wiring thingy quite scary ....... wonder how they go abt doing it ?? though open wound = prone 2 more infections= more abscess !!?? izit?? Me going 2 check the net 4 more pics or imformation on the wiring thingy . cottontail<< me olso can't find much info on the dislocation of jaw from the web wondering why ??

wow, I think maybe this is first case of dislocated jaw. Or maybe this rarely happen.
I do agree with the vet, don't let the bun strain on the jaw

like i said in my reply (IM) to u, think u better listen to vet lor. sekali jaw become worse, then CHAM! actually hor, wound BIG good also 'cause this means the pus can come out easier. u know when puppy went for his abscess surgery. dr ling opened a BIG enough hole so that the pus can be drained out easily. if u see my friend's case hor, EVEN worse. EXTREMELY disgusting. now the abscess is already there, so even the wound becomes bigger or smaller, makes no diff 1. u want the pus to reduce, the only way is to take the baytril and if serious, PEN-G jabs. if even MORE serious, surgery. but hor, bunnypoo's case is in the gum there, how to operate? so i think dr chan wont opt for that 1 lor, to drain out the pus. she'll probably suggest surgery for the tooth, not for the abscess pus. dun worry so much lah. u got me, who got experience with abscess to help u. hahahaha... any open wounds make bunnies more prone to abscess. so now hor, try not to let bunnypoo kena any cuts or whatever. sekali another place kena abscess. if u r worried about the gum abscess, i think the chance of recovery is very high. if u worry about the teeth, hmm.......... all i can say is have faith in dr chan lor. at least they are in good hands of rabbit-savvy vets. always remember, BUNNIES HAVE FAST HEALING POWER AND STRONG FIGHTING SPIRIT... just sayang her A LOT A LOT, can liao.
