I lost my Teddy last Sat night. He collapsed suddenly. It's a great shock to me and my bf, cos he alwiz seemed healthy. He had fungus several months back, at the same time as my TOV Totoro, but he recovered faster and better than my chin. He was cleared of fungus, so I was relieved with his recovery. He had a good appetite and wheek. He was very tame and loved poking his head out for treats.
My bf fed him water and he was still alive when we got home at 8pm. When I went to check on him before sleeping, he was dead on the floor. It was 11pm. I dunno what to say, except that I'm angry and upset. Cos I dunno why he died and I feel so angry. He was slightly more than 3 yrs old. My bf said he was old, but I considered him middle-age. I felt he's too young to die. I dunno, I just feel so angry. I feel like something's so wrong, and I can't express it well.
I'll miss you, Teddy.

I dunno what's the exact cause of death, but I'm sure I can rule out dehydration. Cos I learned that a common symptom of dehydration is eye tearing. He never had that.
I dunno why he died. Only know that Oregon, my other pig who lived with him, is still alive. Oregon is much younger, only abt 1 yr old. I checked him, he's very healthy and okie. Shows no signs of illness or being weak. Both of them have a very healthy appetite and wheek. They were both curious and alwiz popping their heads out to look at what's going on. I really dunno what happened, especially when there were no abnormal signs.

Did u check the cage?anything went misssing?like certain part of the bowl, wheel or toilet parts that was bitten off....could it be he eat something that he shldn't.....

So sad, it feels even worse coz you don't know what caused his death. Don't blame yourself ok... there was nothing you cld have done. Remember to treasure the time you had/ still have with your pets.
My doggy is 12 already, almost totally blind coz of cateract. I really dread the day when he leaves me.... I will definitely cry my eyes out.

Their cage is a normal plastic based cage. Brand is Superpet. It's a single storey cage. There are no parts of the cage missing. They can't possibly chew their food bowl cos it's ceramic. Their water bottle spout is metal, so that's out too. Umm, I dun give my pigs a wheel, they might hurt themselves cos they're not very agile. My pigs also dun have a toilet or pee pan. Only their food bowl, bottle and chewable toys. I give them toilet rolls and cardboard boxes to play with. And feed normal veg. There is no obvious sign anywhere. So sorry abt your dog's cataract. Do take care. Some flowers for Teddy. I miss you and your cartoon face. Take care, wherever you are. *hugs*
