Hihi.... I went to Serangoon North yesterday...saw a shop over there selling rabbits...and there are very small in sizes....the shop owner told me that the rabbits are lionheads crossbreed with ND. And guess what...the rabbits are all only 3 weeks old...can rabbits of such a young age leave their mothers? They are really very small...just like a young GP. Or are those crossbreed suppose to be so small in size? Btw, i wanted to go PetMart but is was closed....does it close on every Monday?

Firstly, lionheads crossbred with NDs probably ensure short ears and furry mane.
It's sad to see bunnies being sold at 3wks old. By right, they shld only be sold at 10 wks old as stated by AVA (not sure if they had changed it!). Previously, I oso bought a 3 wks old bunny at a petshop in Bukit Panjang. Well, I din know that bunnies at that age were very vulnerable and in many ways, helpless. Needless to say, they still need their mother's nourishing milk. But another perspective is that the little bunny at such a tender age wld need a "guardian" so anyone that treats the little bunny "nice", it'll trust u totally. Juz like mine did!! I feel like a mother to her and I think she thinks so too!!
But still, I do not encourage petshops to do such cruel things as to remove the babies frm their mum at a tender age. Maybe what we as minors can do is walk into such petshops and say,"Wah!!! So CUTE AH!!!!", then followed by, "But so young dun know will survive or not......dun know will dis and dat and dat and dis or not.........blah blah blah........", then finally say," Abt 10 wks wld be best!!", then walk out of the shop.......U all know where I'm leading??
Serangoon Nth has most of its shops closed on Mon and Tues. I was tricked b4.......

think the petshop is trying to get new breeds, maybe called lionhead dwarf. the same way as angora dwarf. many petshops sell bunnies around 3 weeks old. 'cause of the cuteness. and also easy to bluff those naive buyers. esp ND. not all crossbreeds are small. depends on what breed. if breed with ND, there's chances that it'll look small but if the ND is itself big, the bunny will still turn out big. they look small maybe 'cause they are under nourished or really very young (even younger than 3 weeks old). i dun like PetMart personally 'cause they sell frozen pinkies. they have a fridge of it.

You mean freeze already still alive?? So cruel. How come allowed to do that. they freeze these newborn hamsters for snake owners. use frozen pinkies to feed snakes. not alive lah. freeze to death. maybe they nv freeze the pinkies themselves but selling them is already promoting and encouraging the freezing.

Why snakes must be fed with hamsters or baby dwarf bunnies?? Can't they be fed with chicken meat that are sold in supermarket?? I hope that shop don't do this anymore.

I hope that shop don't do this anymore. i dunno why must feed baby hammies, mices and buns leh. maybe 'cause snakes dun like those chicken meat. maybe it's for the thrill lor. some owners even feed live mices or hammies to their snakes. thrill to see snakes attack their prey.
