What cages do u all use for ur bunnies? For Biscuit,my local bunny, I am using a ferplast cage, grille top n plastic bottom about 120cm long. For Pearl, she is using one that is about 90cm long. The other NDs are in an assortment of cages. Most of them are in HAgen Zoozone 2 which is about 100cm long n i dun put the wire thingy on top cos they wont jump out anyway n they can stand up if they wan to.. there's also another one in an IMAC cage(usu for pregnant bunnies) and Truffles in a machairo cage that is about 120cm long with a wooden platform in it for him to jump up on. Presently,my 2 BEW does are living in a 6 feet tank sectioned into 2..(that means 3 feet, about 100cm each for them).

I don't use cage.
For my free roaming rabbits that live in the living room, I provide them with big litter box only.
For the other younger ones, I construct my own bunny suites using IMM Daiso grid.
Btw, Bubbles, I remembered you adopted one bunny before rite? The one from woodlands. That time you suspected she got pregnant. And I wanted to pass you some worm-out also. How is she now? Haven seen her pic leh. That bunny quite pretty one.

me using 2ft and 3ft wired bottom cages for all my bunnies. all the trays are put on top of the wired base. for puppy, he's currently staying in a 2ft cage but the door is always open. he either can roam in my room (day) or the whole house (night). for kpo and powder, even if i dun close the door, they'll nv come out of the cage. for 2 nuts, they roam around in the whole house in the day till sunset. then they are put back in their cage. for the stray local, he's staying in a 2ft wired bottom cage. for puppy's wife, she's let out to run in the room in the day but she seldom run much. guess maybe too fat and old liao.

Haven seen her pic leh. That bunny quite pretty one. Hey cottontail, she will b so happy to know u remember her. she's not with me now but with a family fren. they have a lot of children at home n they love the bunny like mad....they have a huge house too in thomson so they let "bunny"(yes.the name stuck )run in the yard. i wanted to keep her but she n Biscuit kept running to each other's cage n biting at each other till there was blood..then they got agitated n Bunny refused to eat for a few days. i got real worried...my family fren, the family being great animal lovers with a retriever n a whippet hound took her in.I sent her for sterlisation a few weeks later after i confirmed she wasnt pregnant and i also told Sook May(the girl who found Bunny) about it... for those of u who dun know, this brave lil Bunny was found abandoned in a carpark and was found...she was probably attacked by a dog/cat n half of one ear was missing. Dr LIng said it wasnt life threatening....and after goin thru so much, she's stil a very loving bunny....very sweet n tame. The children love her like mad n i heard they always bring Bunny n the dogs out to MACrichtie reservoir to pinic. Will try to see if maybe can ask them to send some pics to me

My bf just found a local white stray at Bishan at 4am yesterday. HAHAHAH!!! So we are keeping it. Dunno if he's a she or he. So just call her 'she' temporary.
She is not living in any cage either. She roams in my bf's master bedroom so it's quite big. She likes to pee near her hiding corner and poo EVERYWHERE SHE GOES.
Will be toilet training her soon, without a cage. Maybe put the A4 size container near her favourite area. But dunno if that works.

will u b going for chalet? if u goin then we can help u check if its a she or he....hmm....if u allow her free roam, must bunny proof ur house/room ok? like make sure they cant bite the wires etc... gives them a nasty shock n also they can destroy the wires!! litter training...u might need a lot of patience if it doesnt take to it immediately..some bunnies do get into the mode really fast tho

hey bubblebiscuit>> ya, bunny will surely be happy that someone out there remember her. Though I have not seen her. Glad to know that she went to another good home. I guess she couldn't get along with biscuit is due to them being intact. Highheels>> which part of Bishan did your bf found the rabbit? I rescued one recently at the car park of Bishan park. The one I found is chinchilla col. haiz.... so many abandoned bunnies. Wish there were lesser bunnies in this world so ppl will treasure them.

i think whether there are lesser bunnies or more of them,it really depends on the individual to treasure the bunny. I wish instead that there are more responsible bunny owners that would care for the bunny's welfare all 8-12 years of their lives.

i also agree to what bubbles said...
if we can have more responsible owners then abandonment wont be so much. that's why i always feel education is very important.

Sad to say, in reality it is not the case.
Personally I have picked up too many abandoned bunnies in the park till my heart numb. Sometimes I wish I never have rabbits in my life. Perhaps I will be less sadden.

cottontail > i know how u feel. that's why ever since i see how little welfare petshops give to bunnies, i stopped going to petshops anymore. if i need to get stuff, i'll either get from daniel or go to a petshop that dont sell live stock. it's very painful to see them being tortured.
but sometimes life is like that 1 lor... u see human also like that mah. some human are being tortured or ill treated. some babies are being abandoned, thrown in rubbish dump,... i guess that's life... the world has changed... sometimes must learn to see open. if not, life very miserable 1...
those who abandon / torture living things will sure kena retribution some day. as for those pets who are abandoned / tortured / suffered painful slow death, at least their misery are gone. and they can reincarnate, maybe into something better, lead a better happier life.
that's life... we can only do our bit.
