I am an animal lover, and I can't understand why there are some people called BREEDERS, they do mass breeding and really treat these cutie pets as a "$ making machine" or hate to say that "babies produce machine"...WHY, don't they have sense of human and don't they feel it's cruel and these "people" (I doubt) have to bear part of the responsibility for over population of these pets and end up there become more and more unwanted pets left on shelter. I am really sad when I have visited some forums and found that there are a lots of lots of BREEDERS out there !! They even sell those bunnies which are still under their mother care, look at the pics, they are just abt 3 / 4 wks old, goshhhhh.... why ? why ? why ? ... :swear:

Personally,i'm not against breeding, but if one breeds,he/she must have certain amount of knowledge on the pets they are breeding & must learn to take good care of them & even plan for their lives in future too.....eg.if no one wants em....what are they going to do?abandoned em?or feed em to some others exoctics? haiz.... That's y this forum is also build for rehomer to rehome their pets to "really good owners",& i often check on members here & of other Pets forums to see who are the really good pets owner....i know i may not be perfect, but at least those who would resell the animals they adopted free won't come to Ghost Town....only "genuie" pet lovers.....cos the rules i set in here really piss them off...... A simple advice, some Pets forums are own by Petshops & Commercial Breeders.....so be careful where u rehome or adopt your pets. And i often encourage pple not to "buy"animals,....instead "adopt" from those trying to rehome them & also even the most ugliest, most unhealthy & most handicapped animals can make very good pets too.... All in all, avoid breeding if one is not ready.....

people tend to jus dismiss all breeders as money grabbing, animal exploiters..actually if u calm down n think ...there are some breeders who are not breedng for commercial purposes..they treat their bunnies VERY well..sometimes even better than those keepin bunnies as pets cos they have the extensive knowledge..what is good n what is not for the bunnies..cost is not as important to them as the welfare of the bunnies. i think the key here is responsibility n love for the pets. whether pet owner or breeder, only a true animal lover wil b responsible towards every animal they are keeping. jus my 2 cent worth

I agree at some point, but how many breeders actually have extensive knowledge to really take good care of the animals they breed?Jus Pets Forum alone.....i counted....by ratio,2 out of 10 in my listing....as i've said in the earlier thread breeding isn't really that bad,jus that one needs to have proper planning 1st & a certain amount of Basic knowledge on that animals they are breeding,...jus like a husband & wife is planning for their kids before they decide to have a baby themselves....

One very good example of a ham breeding person is Fairysaint.....see how she is able to plan so well for all her beloved baby hamsters to be rehome to the right home?& the amount of commitment she gave to the last ham that wasn't being able to be rehomed to the right home? My Dad always tell me this...."if one is not sure,ASK! & u'll be only 5 mins stupid...& after that,u'll be forever clever".....better then pple who pretend to be an expert & end up putting their pet's life at risk....haiz.....

Maybe my wording is not clear, what I meant is those commercial breeder, they breed because of money. Accept my apology if I have "one bamboo stick sunk the whole ship people".
To make myself very clear, I am not against breeders, but very much against COMMERCIAL BREEDERS, also those getting free adopted bunnies and re-sell them. For an example, I have put in some forums to rehome some of my bunnies, I have received lots of enquiries showing that they are very interested to adopt my bunnies, told me how they care abt bunnies and how they love bunnies. When I did a check, some (I said SOME, not ALL) of them are selling bunnies in the same or other forums !! I am really in a dilemma when I try to rehome my bunnies.

So sorry, I am very "gan jiong" abt my babies...... I have 20+ bunnies at home and I really love them until my maid asked me why she has to serve "animals" and she decided to quit .... she said I am crazy and that's why she doesn't want to continue working for me anymore ...sigh... have to look for new maid again. Clover> I am sorry if I am too harsh on my pm, 'cause I am too protective.

if members who wish to check up on a particular member,it's actually very simple.....go to that forum he/she frequent most & check on all the post he/she has posted recently....to see what are the subject he/she post more frequently in.....or u may check with the administerator of that forum too. Then again u must also know which forum's admins/mods aren't petshops owner or commercial breeders themselves too so as to not be conned. Good luck to your rehoming....

Sigh.... the problem is I am very mountain turtle one, secretly tell you, this is my second forum I went in (1st one is furrieshaven) to chat one. Before that I never step into this type of forum..... so, decided to stop posting already, can't bear the responsibility if I have wrongly rehomed them - "putting the goats into tiger's mouth" then I die die lah. Whoever got my babies from me, I must have their contact no. and at least know where they live, the house condition....."geh geh" walk around the house see whether they got many many bunnies or not....Maybe I am too ngiao but please forgive me, I am their grandma....
