hee..actually my piggies prefer browns to Oxbow. They love those colourful biscuit like thing in the Browns pellets...They used to eat a lot of pellets when i feed them Browns. Now they eat lesser pellets cos i'm feeding Oxbow. But i tik it's okie lah..as long as they are eating & no weight loss...should be fine. i dun tik it's a good idea to give them two different brand of pellets at the same time cos they might chose to eat the one that they like & ignore the other brand...but if they eat both then should be okie lor...

yeah lor..they sure go for the coloured pellets when i top up their food....hee...so i usually dun put it in their bowl. Will hand feed them otherwise one pig might end up eating more than the rest....but i stopped feeding them browns liao....cos it contains fishmeal. dunno will be bad for them or not.

me too, eventhough its alfalfa based i find that it is much better than Oxbow cos value for money and the calcium percentage is also lower than that of Oxbow's timothy based pellets. And luckily its available all the time.....

i buy them from pet lovers centre,it only costs around $7.95 just put it at $8,their pellets are really really big ,thats why i say its economical, and compared to Oxbow's maximum calcium content cobayes has 0.05% less maximum calcium content so its much better that oxbow's cavy cuisine.
however the fibre is 14% lower than that of the recomended fibre which is 28% ,but this is not a real problem as the fruits and vegetables plus the hay will give them the extra fibre they need.
Another minus point is corn which is stated in Derricks website as unnecessary, well i have given it to my piggies and they loved it....better than Oxbow.......
