Got this from the News in Australlia... IF you're thinking of sharing your chocolate eggs with your favourite moggy as part of the Easter spirit, think again.
Australia's peak veterinary group today warned that feeding chocolate to pets could kill them.
Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) president Jo Sillince said cats and dogs could not tolerate theobromine, a caffeine-like substance found in chocolate, which increased their heart rate and released adrenaline.
Dr Sillince said high doses of chocolate led to vomiting, diarrhoea, urination or hyperactivity in pets - and may ultimately put them at risk of depression, seizures, coma or death.
"The problem is real and pet owners should be made aware of it," she said.

choc contains theobromine which is toxic to dogs. The darker the chocolate means the higher amount of theobromine it contains. Which means dark choc is more poisonous than white chocolate....

Not only chocolates, but also grapes/raisins and alcohol are also toxic to dogs and cats. Death can occur within 4 hours.

think grape/raisins can cause kidney failure. Onions causes anaemic...
Salmon is ok. bubblesbiscuit, where did u hear that from? Or is it because l think last yr got a period newspaper got say that some farm bred salmon have some plbms and can't eat too much. I believe those 'wild caught' ones are ok... but too much of the same thing is also not good...
