Last night, he suddenly starts spinning on the floor violently. Then, when he gets up, he's losing balance and his head is tilted to one side.
This morning brought him to the vet. Vet says cld be stroke or degenerative ear infection...
Now, he's still able to walk except that his head is tilted to one side hence can't walk properly.
Vet says need long term treatment. I'm willing to stay by him and walk the rest of his life with him. Now very depressed.
Anyone had experience with dogs with stroke? _________________

Hi, i went to Animal Clinic at Sunset Way. Prior to the stroke, he has been lao-saing and vomiting for abt a month. The vet did give some anti biotics.

Hi, i am giving him 2 weeks to see how he react to the med. Now left one more week to go. If he's not getting any better, will bring him to Namly. SO far, he's doing ok. Other than the stroke, he still like before excpt not so active anymore. Lucky thing is he still can walk and eat on his own... What herbal treatment? I have not heard abt it?

i know of only one vet who does accupunture for dogs and i know he has done it for dogs with joint problems and also for a dog with catarats. He works only on some dates at the Mount Pleasant Hospital. he's actually a vet at the zoo, which is why i know him, his name is Dr Oh Soon Hock. He's also into using TCM ( traditional chinese medicine) for animals and he uses it for a lot of the animals at the night safari and zoo... have witnessed some pretty good results for some of the animals previously on other modern medicines, u might wanna give him a try.. but i heard that his private consultation fees can be quite high.
