Oh yes, I was wondering if anyone prefers to gather at someone else's place instead? I know it's not easy, cos that person must have a spacious place to accomodate pp. But anyway, I just thought that's a suggestion, cos then, the weather doesn't make any difference at all. But it's just an idea la. If everyone prefers a park, that's okie.
Umm, another reason why I dun go Botanic Gardens is cos I have a phobia of that place. When I was 12, I went there to do a school project. I was attacked by honey bees. They stung my face and hands. I had to get an injection from the doctor. He said I'm lucky they didn't sting my neck, or it's very serious.
I didn't disturb the bees. It was this guy, who was taking pics of their hive, he disturbed them. And he actually run in my direction and pushed me, so I was the one who got in the way of the bees chasing after him. So they stung me. Ever since then, when I see a bee, especially a honey bee, my hair will stand. And I'll scream and run.
He's so bad right! Run away and push a kid (me), then I got stung, and he just kept running!

i dun really like the idea of having gathering in someone's house. reasons being (basing on my knowledge of bunnies): 1) if owner of house has bunnies, the bunnies will not be happy to see other bunnies in their territory. they'll start to stress out them 'cause they might feel threatened. i dunno about other pets. 2) if house is not rabbit proof, our bunnies might start chewing furniture or wires. not saying all bunnies will do that but u never know right? 3) unless the house is big enough, it'll be very cramped to accomodate many members and pets. it'll be very messy as well, esp with all the furniture in the house. 4) we are not familar with the house. we would feel very restricted thus not letting our pets roam around anywhere, everywhere. i think if it's a gathering just for hamsters, it's still feasible. but for bunnies, chins, GPs, cats and dogs,... i really dun think it's a good idea lor, though we dun need to worry about the weather. but the space constraint and restrictions... also very pai seh mah... unless house belongs to member, not member's parents. no offence ok? i just feel that we should find a place with lots of freedom and space and little hassle. imagine if the bunnies decide to have some pee spraying fights... then how? we'll end up spending many hours cleaning up the whole house b4 we end the gathering.

err actually i wanted biotech one. but bcos of my maths lar d**n lousy so go HLM bcos biotech more related to zoology mah can collect more credits i tink so study lesser years.. but i tink like if u take hlm and u go take zoology rite not bad also bcos like you know alot of plants you know what they eat how to design the habitat etc.. i tink lar... but hlm cannot really collect credits lor bcos the relation not taht much to zoology. so if go overseas uni need at least 3 years erh botanic gardens would be good bcos got more ambience then BIShan park haha..... also there got alot of like shade areas and sun areas for plants etc(jus learn yesterday haha) so hav places wif alot of shade and sun one . so more choices to choose etc.. ah there got sell edible human food also not like the bishan park 2 one haha...

I vote for Botanic Garden. Nice place I think the last time I went to Botanic is when I'm in Primary 2. I remember my form teacher bought the whole class out and so happened that I fell from the hill. Rolling from top to bottom. Lucky no serious injuries but then that was really an experience. Hence, I'll still like to go there.... kkk... to re-call that incident

Aiyo... poor poor clover. I can't imagine being stung by soooo many bees leh! I was once stung by a bee on my middle finger and it became swollen almost immediately! Very painful! Can't imagine u got stung on so many parts of ur body. OUCH!!!!!!! Did u stay in the hospital?
I have very good impression of Botanic Garden. I went there to steal fruits when I was young. When I was in jc, I went there for jazz performances and met my sec sch music teacher! She didn't see me lah. Then many people brought their dogs! Sooooo many dogs! Some went to listen to the music, some went jogging. It was sooo memorable. Then we sat on the floor and picnic, ate our food and watch people..... so many different types of people... got ah lian with very luminous pink hair, got muscular man, got ugly black man, got caring and beautiful ladies with doggies... whoa!

puppy> Ya, it's true also. Got too many pets, can't go to a member's house, cos not enough space. I was brought to the hospital by my parents, but never stay there. I was an outpatient. The doctor examined me, I had some stings on my face and arms lor. As I said, he commented I was lucky I had none on my neck. Yes, bee stings swell, so when I walked into the hospital, of course pp stare at me. Somemore, I remember I couldn't stop crying. Cos it's very painful. My face and arms also swollen. But I recall my face was more serious, cos the bee stung me above my lip, so it swelled there, plus my cheek. So it's throbbing and hot there. The one above the lip terrified me cos I saw the bee sting me there and part of its body left there wriggling. Very scary, right in front of my nose. The doctor said that bee stings are very serious around the neck cos the swelling may obstruct the person's breathing, then if dun seek help immediately, will die. So he warned me next time I must quickly put my hands around my neck to cover and protect it. He said bee stings on hands and arms are painful, but relatively harmless. I had to get an injection for the bee stings. After that incident, I never went back to Botanic Gardens ever again. So now you all want to go there, I scared la. If I ever ever have the courage to go there, will probably wear a huge cloak to cover every single part of my body.

Clover> Ur experience sounds scary leh......I seldom go to Botanical Gardens and I had the intention to go there juz TML to look see look see.......wah......after reading ur experience here, I dun think I wanna go there liao........
But bee stings are not fatal right?? I read somewhere that a bee will only stink u when u seem life threatening to it......cos' after it stinks u, it'll die too!! And YAH!! I saw in one documentary show that a scientist deliberately allow a bee to sting him and true enough, the bee died afterwards!!
Maybe there're hornets ard......their stings are very deadly......
But if so terrible hor, how come still got those musical performances there and even HRSS hold outings there too??
