Got this in an e-mail from ASD
Animal Planet will be holding and sponsoring an Adoption Drive for CWS, ASD and HRSS, an activity intended to promote their up-coming series "The Protectors" which is about the Miami Animal Police's rescue works, very similar to what our local animal welfare societies are doing.
Animal Planet will also be sponsoring T-shirts for sales. All funds raised will go to the 3 participating societies.
This event, Animal Protectors Series Launch, will be held at:
Location: The Heeren (right outside)
Date: 17 & 18 July, Saturday & Sunday
Time: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
We need volunteers for the following roles:
1) Dog or Puppy Minders
There will be adult dogs and puppies displayed for adoption. The responsibility is to attend and interact with the dogs or puppies so that they do not look restless or listless, ensure sample water available at all time, to keep the enclosure clean (changing newspaper whenever any of them pee of poo), etc.....
2) Adoption Representative
To brief interested or potential adopters about the requirement, procedures and documentation. To record their particulars for later follow-up by our rehoming volunteers.
3) Publicity Representative
Regular volunteers who are able to answer to queries as to who is ASD, what we do, our mission, etc.
