Does he eat? Maybe got overgrown tooth?
One of my hamsters also for no reason became weak and thinner. Found that he has overgrown tooth after he died.
Perhaps u can bring him to the doc for a checkup.

I did supect of his teething problem in the first place but his teeth was quite okie, no overgrown teeth except his top teeth seems uneven. No growth or lumps anywhere. His eyes are still very bright when look at me. Only his appetite was failing and the amount of water consume was lesser than before. Sleeps alot. Not active like the rest of hammies. The reason i'm hesitating to bring him to a vet is b'cos, i notice that most of the time, the vet can't do anything abt it. In the end the hammie oso die . That's y now i'm bringing his problem up here first. See if anyone had similar problem. The worst i'm thinking of is that he is having internal problem then that is hard to tackle liao.

I dunno if he could be suffering from constipation? Dehydration? or even heat stroke?! I just read this in one of the hamster forum: ParalysisA common aliment which can be avoided is paralysis. Often the result of a lack of exercise, an affliicted hamster will spend most of its time hunched over, often unable to raise his head. Another type of paralysis is results from spinal injury or vitamin D deficiency. The first signs are stiffness of the paws, leading to the loss of movements in the fore paws and then slowly to death.

Thks Leoric. Ghost>> I've checked his neck, tail, everywhere even flick his fur, all are dry. No signs of any wetness nor any wounds. His teeth are okie except the top teeth looks uneven like chipped off. The bottom teeth are normal just like the rest of my hammies. But i do notice his front paws looks stiff. He looks extremely tired and sleep whole day... I've change partial of his diet to soft food. Oh yes, his character like BaoBao... very strong for survival... His eyes are bright when i called out to him. he takes food from my hand and comes to me when he heard his name being called. Each time i past by his cage, my heart beat will stop for a moment. I'm constantly checking if he's still alive... it really pains me to see him like that...
