Hi,
My mini lop, Mao Mao, has eyesh*t around her eye area and it appears quite often. She cleans it with her front paws and now the fur kinda stick together and harden cos of her eyesh*t. Angie dosen't have any of this problem. Is normal for Mao Mao to experience this?

My babies sometimes have the same problem, I have followed Cottontail's method as follows:-
1. Use warm water and cotton pad to clean up the sticky fur. (also DO NOT just use our fingers to "pluck" out the eyesh*t, it will hurt, use wet cotton pad to remove it.)
2. Use another clean cotton pad and wet it with eye mo eye wash and clean the eyes area.
3. Use another fresh cotton pad to wipe dry the furs around the eye area. Wipe the fur as dry as possible.
4. Lastly, dab a bit of eye mo eye wash just around the eyelid.
Do this above steps twice a day. But if found abnormal discharge from the eyes, please bring maomao to the vet.
