Puppy, since we have discussed quite a bit on bunnies in the gallery section, I thought that i should continue the discussion here.
My question is do bunnies have to consume a different mix of dried food like hamsters? Or issit really true that their daily diet consists have pellets and hay, and that's all?!
Erm, so on a rough estimation... how much do u spend on one bunny per month... roughly around $25 got anot? I spend approximately $25 on my 7 hamsters per month.

some owners dont like bunny mix because some mix are not good for bunnies. they prefer to just give hay and pellets. if bunnies are old enough (ie 6 months onwards), they give veggies and fruits. other than that, nothing much to give. maybe some treats but some owners dont give that to their bunnies too 'cause it's unhealthy. actually come to think of it, bunnies' diet quite boring lor. as for their monthly expenses, i really dun know. never really calculate. just need to get hay, pellets, bedding, veggies, treats (occasionally) and fruits. that's all.

Wah... like very simple liddat leh. Their diet is really quite boring. I think we have to give them some treats or fruits lor. If not it will be really boring! No wonder some bunnies decided not to eat suddenly. Heehehhe...
I can get free vege and fruits from my house. As for the rest, i gotta pay for them myself. Looks quite cheap leh... hmm... wondering if i shld get anot... but the cage like darn ex liddat!
I saw someone connect two 2 ft collaspsible cages together and made it 4 ft! It costs only $18 at QF for one 2 ft cage. If iget a local bunny hor, what's the height i shld get leh? 50cm??

my 2 locals stay in a 3ft cage... i would recommend everyone to get 3ft cage unless they keep ND. locals can grow very big. kpo and powder is slightly bigger than puppy leh... we seldom give treats 'cause it's unhealthy, we want our bunnies to live as long as possible. but once a while, ok lah... we usually spend more on better quality hay and pellets. i got my 3ft cage for about $60, i think (less than $100). and it can last very long. so come to think of it, it's not exp at all lah. then have to get litter tray, water bottle and food bowl. that's about all for a start. veggies and fruits also quite cheap mah, at least cheaper than pellets, hay and bedding. but i give more veggies than fruits because fruits are sweet. too much sweet stuff... they'll not want to eat their tasteless pellets and hay.

1st of all, i need to know what breed is ur bunny and the other bunny u'll be getting? how long have u been keeping the baby bunny? if not wrong, about 2 months izzit? is ur bunny litter trained? i have to know all these 1st b4 i can comment anything. putting 2 unrelated bunnies together is possible but no guarantee. have to take risk. for 2 bunnies to stay together, one / both must be fixed. and if one bunny has been living alone for too long, he/she might not be able to accept a new member in his territory. that's when fights will occur. i've seen those hagen zoozone cages... plastic based cages. but i dun like 'cause of the height. the bunnies cannot stretch / stand on 2... the height too low. but again, it depends on what breed u have. if ND, s~~t~~i~~l~~l~~ ok lah... though i wont recommend. let me know more then i reply u in further detail, k?

both mini lops belong to ur fren ah? they've been living together izzit? both lops are siblings? if the answers are all YES, it's ok to put them together. if only 1 mini lop belongs to ur fren, u can still try to put them together. but i think u better fix ur buck soon 'cause if not wrong, he's starting his puberty stage soon or even now. if both lops are not siblings, u can still try to put them together 'cause the lop u r having now stay in the cage only for a week only. still new to the environment. but 'cause he's already 3 months old, he might be starting to become abit territorial. try to intro the 2 buns together. best to have someone beside u, just in case they fight. so at least got more ppl to separate them b4 they hurt themselves. if the buns have been living together in the previous home, i'm more confident that they can be put together without much problems. what u can do is to get ready a carrier. if u try intro them, they fight or become very aggressive. let them stay alone (1 in cage, 1 in carrier). then the next day, u go buy cage. if u can spare cage, that'll be good. if 1st intro, they cannot get along. doesnt mean that NO HOPE liao. if u want 2 buns to bond together, just fix them. higher chance of them bonding together. u can also put them in a carrier for several car rides. but takes time lor. if u want ur bun to bond with u, can also do that (carry bun on ur lap while in car). but all these take time. once or twice not enough 1... i'm using 3ft wired based cages but i put the tray that's under the wires, on top of the wires, so they have a plastic tray as flooring. i would prefer that 'cause the cage is more well ventilated than those plastic based cages. is the doe toilet trained liao? if u put the doe together with the buck, he MIGHT start to mark his territory by peeing and pooing everywhere in the cage. he MIGHT fall in love with the doe (love at 1st sight), just like my 2 local buns... i didnt really litter train them. they just learn it themselves. usually 1 will follow what the other is doing. i think they'll be litter trained lor 'cause buns are usually very clean hygienic animals. but if the doe all the while anyhow pee, dun have litter tray in cage 1, she might take a longer time to know the litter tray is her toilet. and if the litter tray is too small, they might not want to use the tray to pee. usually if a bun is litter trained, no matter where u put the litter tray, be it outside cage, or inside cage, he'll still go to the litter tray to pee. though once a while, he'll anyhow pee. sometimes to mark his territory. ur buck pee outside maybe 'cause it's mis-fire. if u fix him liao, after a while, he wont have such problem. did i answer ur qn?

I thought of neutering him too .....but at 3 mths liao ...still no drop of balls why? wait for a few more weeks... balls should be showing. unless not buck... the doe also 3 months old? also mini lop? if ur buck still new to environment and cage, can try intro since he's still young. but be careful of any possible fights lor. try to intro them in an enclosed space where if any fights occur, u can quickly separate them b4 they injure themselves. why petshop quarantine ur doe? u ask petshop import in for u 1 ah? u want me give u my hp #? if yes, i can IM u... talk on phone easier mah... if u got ICQ, u can icq me. my icq # is <censored>. Puppy>> I've censored your icq no. cos it's for your own protection, pls give icq & hp no. thru IM instead.but if u insist to show to everyone in this forum,i'll not censored em again.pls take note, thanks.
