maybe otah try to jump and land on the floor and sprain his feet. try to massage and see. touch his bones, see whether he got respond to it or not. if like nothing, then should be just sprain.
why u bring him to grooming? can do it urself mah. i never trust petshops groomers 1. esp after working in petshop. u didnt stand there and see everything ah?
is otah using the 'injured' leg?
it's easy to see whether his nails cut too near or what? if nails black, just use torch light to shine. can see the pink liao. usu even if nails cut too near hor, also wont limp 1 leh.

as i told u maybe they cut too near the quick but there isnt bleeding but if u look at the tip should b able to see the red tip.. ;D maybe also the nail cut cut wrong angle.. thats why limping. i never trust commercial groomers actually.....i think i trust myself a lot more n i know a lot more about rabbits than they do..i mean the "package" always include a bath.....experienced owners should know that rabbits DON't Like water n baths could stress them out. even in ur case, even if otahz doesnt struggle,it doesnt mean he's not stressed.rabbits are generally quiet animals and ur otahz is prob a very tame n quiet boy....so even if hes stressed,he wouldnt protest n that could b worse..cos u won't know when he's stressed. besides otahz wasnt even dirty,if he gets as dirty as my pearl then maybe can use water BUT do only spot cleaning jus monitor him n see if he continues to limp ok? if it persists, see a vet

ya lor... never trust those commercial petshops groomers... if u dunno how to do, get a bunny lover to do it also better.
and water bath is definitely not a good idea lor. u should know that very well. 'cause we've been saying that all the while. bunny lovers never use water to bathe their bunnies 1. at the most, we use wet cloth to do spot cleaning.

sounds serious. he's stil young leh,not fully developed yet. u better bring him to the vet if by tomolo he's stil limping dun jus listen to what other people say la...must have ur own judgment n opinion........bunnies dun see that kinda grooming as pampering i think, more like torture. an occasional brush of the coat(saince he SH) and a bit of powdering.. he should b very happy liao cut the nails when its long...enough liao...he will b happy if u play with him more, sayang him more.

u better bring him to the vet for a check. if he's not using his leg at all, might be serious. meanwhile try to restrict his movement. just in case the injury is serious.
u hor, must learn to have ur own way of judgement lah. how can u believe whatever ppl say? if like that, so easy to cheat and harm u. if someone wants ur bunny dead hor, so easy. just get a few ppl to say certain thing is good, make u feed ur bunny, then after a while sure die liao.
ur bunny's life lies in ur hands leh. give u the cutest bunny also no use, if u dun have ur own way of judgement and thinking.
ppl kept talking about petzstuff 'cause they are trying to promote the shop. no petshops can provide service better than ur own service to ur pets. u can also make ur own bunny smell good and nice wat. ur bunny will feel even better if u r the one who make him nice and good.

Hi hi hi, it's me... the forever pretty one.
I read somewhere that commercial groomers usually use a kind of powder to stop the bleeding. So even if the groomers cut into the quick and made ur Otahz bleed, the groomer can anytime use the powder to stop the bleeding and the injuries will be covered up. meaning, u wun even know that it bled at all! That's why i ALWAYS emphasize that if people want to bring their pets down for grooming, can! But must stand there to see also. If not, u think those petshop people so free meh... go care so much for ur pets welfare. The only thing they are concern with is $$$.

ghost > read jellybean's prev posts lor... u'll know what happen. i feel that we cant completely blame the petshop lor. anyway, cant confirm whether it's petshop's fault or not mah.
if jellybean go to namly for op (but dr ling not open today), the op fee will most probably wont hit $200 mark. unless very complicated. 'cause usu such surgery is about $100-$180.
all ops contain some level of risk 'cause dunno whether the bunny is allergic to anaesthetic. and even after op liao, dunno whether will kena complication or not. if vet not very experienced with bunnies, they might give too much anaesthetic to bunny which increase the level of risk lor.

ghost > nobody knows how otahz dislocated his hind leg 'cause jellybean is not there when professional groomer groom otahz. but according to her, when she collect him, she realised that he's limping lor. so she suspect it's petshop's fault.
there are many ppl (NOT THIS FORUM) kept talking about this petshop. so she just listen to what ppl say lor. so now otahz suffer lor.
many of us have bunnies but we seldom bring our bunnies for such professional grooming service by petshops. we rather do it ourselves. even if want to bring to petshop for grooming, must stand there and see mah. we never trust petshops 1. u never know what they'll do to our pets when we are not around.
