I forgot to ask the vet to weight him. I have frightened both of them while weighing them. Actually, he has gain some weight. Previously he weighed only 450g but now he weighs 550g. Looking at him like this, he is much more fatter than April but actually he is not that fat. April which is 5 months odd which weighs 450g only. He is 100g heavier than her. It's his fur that is thick.

i bought a chin care book before cos when they 1st came to spore i was very fascinated with them...was really interested to keep them. The book says that chins comes in 2 main common breeds...one has sharper facial features...the other type has round round face...i like the round face one..but seldom see in spore.
My good friend has 3 chins...Hee..When her baby chin was young, she can squeeze out of her cage! i really can't get it cos her head seem bigger than the openings! I saw her attempting to escape once..her head popped out btw the metal grills...so scary! My friend has to search the whole house for her everyday...hahaha...but now she big big liao...can't escape anymore...i hold her before...chins fur are very soft..very nice to hold..they also have very soft padded feet, does'nt scratch the skin...nice... but too skittish liao...can't stand still to pat pat.

ya it's true that Baby is fully grown but according to the fact, female chins are much more bigger in size and heavier than the male chins.

The 2 breeds are C. brevicaudata - the stocky, fat look. And C. lanigera - the long and lean look chinchillas. Actually, most standard greys are C. brevicaudata and most whites are C. lanigera. You can tell the difference if you look carefully at the chins around Sg. A chinchilla breeding cage has to have holes that are less than 0.5" by 0.5" or the baby can escape. That's why most breeder cover their nursing cages with wire mesh as another precaution, if the cage has grills that are too big. My Slappy and Hanako are both bigger than Spider and Snowball.
