With the awful sowing and the message of "Rubberband's collar pls dun take" Hopefully the scumbag will not take this one.... Me gotta buy big bell bell liao. These two were Memory and Odie's. Bell bell only cost $0.80 like that also want to steal.... If this one still kana stollen will sow the collar directly and make it non-removable. shows how ugly and utterly disgusting human can be!!! You should see rubberband's pityful expression last night. I took a photo of it but not yet downloaded. See her like that v "xin tong".

wait a minute, did Rubber band lost the bell only or both the collar and bell? Think you gonna get some spare bells and collar soon.Perhaps you might just want to stick with one bell on each collar? Find that you really got that kind of patience to keep making toys, like collars etc etc for your pets huh? ;D

She lost both.
But no need to buy collar liao. I will use my card strip to make collar for her next time, more beautiful and better pattern. This time since it will not be removable, need not make use the collar hatches so got all the materials on hand liao. Lucky did not put the crystal red heart which I almost want to sew on her collar.
Cannot lah, will still put 2 big and colourful bells. She is pitiful enough as a stray and the collar is her only belonging. Cannot save on such aspects.
Garfield got a beautiful ball make of crystals and metal flower as the collar pendant. The crystal ball is my own pendant. See human got so many deco and with a little of creativity, can share our excess with our pets.
Memory has a T-shirt with English football logo on. Bought the iron-on English football logo from Beach Rd market. The T-shirt is an improvision from the car hanging small T. The difference is gotta change the sleeve from side way to the front. T-shirt already done but......Garfield got jealous and when Memory wore it, she will go and chew and pull Memory's shirt...end up fighting, so seldom let Memory wear it.
Intend to make a pet cap for Odie. Will make a bright red cap for Odie. Still has not started on this one.... Dog cap all too big...

Maybe you have a regular stray feeder or a cat lover at your area who thinks that the bells are a no-no for cat. Actually cats pick up sound better than dog. I can shake my bunch of key from my 3rd flr unit and my cat downstair will know I am home and will run to me. Thus I wonder will the bell be too noisy for her. So someone might have taken it out, out of good intention. This is just my thought.
Maybe this time round, with juz a collar without the bell and you see if the collar will still be stolen again. If they are still intact, next try putting on bell but take out the metal ball inside so that it won't give sound.

so far she seems to like the bell leh. In fact when I was trying to make her collar, she keep toughing the bells with her paw and already licking the bells. The bells also for me and my dad. It tells us that she is at our door. This way we will know when to feed and play with her. Also need it to alert me in case she follow me to work. Dun want her to wander too far from estate. Scare she cannot find her way home.

Not all cats are irritated by bell or collar. Though cat owners are more concerned of cat being strangler by the collar accidently. So it is recommended to use breakaway type of collar. Rubber band might be a exceptional cat that likes the tinkling sound of bells. Or it could also means she has hearing problem and not affected by the sound. www.angelfire.com/sc2/petswelfare/cats/colbell.htmlThis is an interesting link regarding cat and collar.

hee..ur cat reminds me of a cat in my neighbourhood, cos they have similar markings & colour. Me & my dog got chased by the cat last week. Actually this is the 2nd time we got chased by the cat....usually i try to avoid it when i saw it nearby cos i can judge by it's body language that it is going to spring at us if we go near it....but last week it was hiding under a car so we did'nt noe it's nearby...the next thing i know...it ran out & started chasing us....i just pull the lease & run asap...kinda scary.

ermm... just a thought... perhaps she (rubber band) may have been rubbing herself against something, and the collar slipped off ? is this possible?

Not possible for I do checks everyday and the clip was very firm. No way that rubberband can take it off herself. But so far it works. since I sew the message on the collar, it still sits snuggly on rubberband's neck.

Cos' if she got caught entangled in some bushes, wouldn't that strangle her

Tried to wash rubberband's ear and apply the ear mite solution vet gave me....but it was so hard. When vet did it she stayed still, when I did it she ran in circle and shook head violently like a siao zha bor. End of the day, not a single drop of the ear mite solution entered successfully into her ear. Wasted two tubes of ear mite solution. So tired chasing after her with the ear cleaning solution and cotton bud. Literally ran up and down the stairs. At the end of the day, both me and rubberband tired out completely. Rubberband, aka Bak Kua cat, sound asleep after eating 2 slice of Bee Cheng Hiang Gourmet Bak Kua and the day's intense stair climbing exercise....
