bo bian. She was like extending her paw to touch my bak kua when I was chewing it, then out of pity, I gave her a small mouthful....then she got so excited and tried to reach and meow loudly and we caved in. Now she meow non-stop upon hearing the Bee Cheng Hiang bell bell sound and smelling the bak kua smell. She will get her gourmet bak kua for we scare neighbour complaint and spca take rubberband away. So when we eat, she eats and we eat every night....

that will make you even more hungry...anyway, me in quite a bad mood today. After months of Rubber band staying outside my house in the evening, my neighbour came and said they want to report to spca to take the cat away unless I house her yesterday night. No choice, she is in a my bunny condo now and whinning for she is unused to being cage. very heart broken. It is not her fault for trusting me, following me everywhere I go and wanting to wait outside the door for me everyday. Cant let her have the free run yet given my bunnies.... almost want cry now. She is 3 yrs old local...very hard to get people to adopt...also she is so attached to me....even though my dad feed her, she only follows me around... Think I will give up the chance to study in UK. Can't make arrangement for so many pets and I have to be responsible to rubberband. I earned her trust first, so I will stay true to her faith in me. Allow me to post some photos to ease the sadness inside... just when I thot rubberband's life is getting better, the I realised I might have caused her suffering now... Rubberband so trustingly slept on me... Finally I learn to trust human again... Even to the extend on baring my tummy while I slept ...

Haiz... I hope I can help you but my bunnies are very very scared of cats.... There are some stray cats outside my house, and we are feeding them.. but whenever they came in to my house (car porch), my bunnies will stamped their feet non-stopped, especially those have been abandoned before (not my own bunnies, they are curious enough to go near the sliding door and try to say hi to those kitties !!).

bunnylover, no worry, just venting my anger about how unfeeling people can be. Actually upon reflection, I am not that keen to live in UK anyway. So I will just take up the company's offer, except to do the study locally. At my age, which university is no longer important. also, guess I will have a happier one year with the companion of all my babies. When going through the experience, I remember your plight and that comforts me. If we think we do the right thing, we should go all the way out to protect our animal babies rt? So fight fight fight all the way... rubberband is a super timid cat. it just might work, but I gotta supervise when bunny meets the cat....

Same here.... I don't want to move home also becos of the 2 stray cats that come to my corridor for food everyday. If I move, then they have no "back-up" home.
Sometimes I was worried that my neighbour will complain to HDB that I harbour cat and feed them at corridor. But so far I am still lucky as my neighbours are older generation who lives here for the past 20 years. I find older folks are more caring... juz that I am worried their children who come back to visit them would complain abt the cat. Esp those who got young kids.
Hope for all the best for Rubberband.

cottontail> how I wish I have your neighbour... haiz geraldo> I suspect she was once a house pet too given her temperament and the fact that she cannot fend for herself against the other cats and always a loner, love collars etc. But, she is quite jumpy when alone at my room and till now still do not know whether she knows how to do business on BC or not yet...24hrs no pee no poo but eat drink alot....worried. So far still active and playful and meowed and play with me the whole night......no sleep at all, when I try to sleep she meow. Ash> learning that keeping cat is not that easy. 2 night with no sleep having headach liao. how come people say cat sleep 80% of the time? Gotta relook at cat proofing my house. totally different consideration. all windows has to be protected and the low pet guard used on gate also not enough to prevent her from going out... instead of chewing (bunny problem) cat rather scratch and it is as destructive. so all my previous destruction proofing strategies has to be revised.

Cat like any other animals, takes times to get used to new environment. You need to let the cat rest at a quiet corner of the house first and let her slowly get use to new spaces.
Rubberband must be a little stress with the sudden change and being housed indoor. Is it possible to bring her downstairs to take a walk? All cats learn to use litter box pretty fast, almost immediate. Much easier to train then rabbit.

I have no idea how to keep cats also... I guess they are harder to train than dogs... Has not pee n poo for 24 hrs ah... I think she's used to doing it downstairs... Poor girl... Maybe can bring her down for a few minutes to walk walk?

cottontail> I dun dare to take her downstairs yet.... 1 It might make she miss the outdoor more hence more miserable when back. 2 I will have to put her on leash else she will sure run for freedom. that will cause her more stress and if she ran away, she might be napped. 3 Leashing her too obvious that she is a pet, hdb not allow to keep cats. Ash> the good news!! She did it!! She peed finally and althought I did everything wrong like wrong first litter, wrong amount and size of the litter tray, she manage to pee on the BC and then pill the BC at the corner like a dune. smart girl!! so happy I gave her 3 pieces of gourmet bak kua even thou she is suppose to be on diet. The not so good news, she is becoming warry of me. Not so close to me already. takes much longer to warm up to me. Used to be just call her and she will dash happily to me. She still refuse to sleep and I was already 2 nights without sleep, so no choice, lock her in my toilet for 6 hrs and then played with her fr 5 am today till work time.
