leoric > i clean their bedding everyday. not really clean as in change all the bedding. i do spot cleaning. that means change the beddings that are soiled. those not soiled, i'll continue using it. 'cause bunnies usu will pee at 1 corner of the litter tray. so just clear that area 1 can liao. very easy 1. very fast too.
when i really change everything? erm... about every week. i'll usu change the whole bedding in the litter tray and thorough washing of it.

i clean the beddings in the litter tray for Biscuit almost everyday cos she pee pee a lot.. longest prob about 2 days only. For Pearl who is not litter trained (and is resisting every effort to train her) i spread the litter in the whole cage esp the corners so clean bout every 3-4 days.. now hols got nothin much to do so quite diligent in cleaning... litter trained or not makes a lot of differences leh..

I spot clean daily also, as the others advise. It's safer to me. Plus, I change the entire bedding every 3 days. Actually, I dun find it much of a chore. This is for her litterbox. For her entire cage, I change the newspapers every week.

actually am thinking its not very advisable to use newspapers leh...esp if they bite it cos i read before that most newspapers are made of recycled paper, low quality so not clean PLUS the ink is toxic for them sis they swallow..and if newsapaper were to get wet then will stain their feet also right?? unless u using wire bottom cage n they dun get in contact with the newspapers of cos.. but i dun like using wire bottom cages cos can b stressful for the bunnies esp if big ones cos can get sore hocks etc.....so better provide a rubber mat for them to rest on even then.....some of them might bite n swallow the rubber mat

I've seen my rabbits tearing newspapers, but they dun eat it. Only tear for fun I suppose. But for my guinea pigs, they'll tear and chew it. But also won't eat it often.

Eh.. my litter tray has holes on the bottom leh. Can use newspaper to cover the bottom then add BC on top? The bun dun chew newspapers one leh... i think she doesn't like chewing.

I dunno if BC will fall thru. I haven't take a very good look but confirm got holes. I think small pieces of BC will confirm fall thru.
I dunno what kinda litter pan leh.. those plastic ones that u get from provision shops... stolen from my bf's kitchen. I see can use, so use lor. My bf told me if the newspaper ink is toxic, he might be using those A4 size white papers which we use for printing stuffs.
