Saw this from another forum[/b] "In a little corner off Lorong Halus, a humble shelter is built to house strays and abandoned pets...
Though they may not have warm beds to snuggle in, nor baskets of squeaky toys to play, these dogs try their best to be optimistic and happy, for they are after all, away from the dangers out in the open.
The rescue organisation is trying to maintain the smiles on the dogs' faces using their very own limited resources.
But...
Resources have been running low. There is barely enough dog food to go around recently...
This is an appeal to all pet-lovers. The dogs in this kennel need your help. If you have any packets of dry dog food, bottles of shampoo or even old, unwanted leashes and collars which you wish to donate to these dogs, please email qiqi @ lovehurtslikehell@yahoo.com
We'll arrange to pick the items up from you and pass them to the rescue organisation.
On behalf of the dogs, we sincerely thank you in advance for the kind donations, for you have made them smile again."

Any exact address of this place? Thanks! Pet Villa 61, Pasir Ris Farmway 3 the author continued on..."Please help them.
For those with monetary contribution, please make your cheque to:
Animal Lovers League
Yishun Central PO Box 163 Singapore 917606
Please remember to indicate that it is for Pet Villa. And please write your name and address behind the cheque so that they can issue a receipt to you.
Picture shows one of the kennel but the dogs actually has a lot more room to move abt on the right side of the picture but don't know why this pack likes to all cramed together and leave the other area empty.
within the last month alone, there was nearly twice the number of dogs there in the kennel and this include 7 puppies all younger than 2 months old."

www.channelnewsasia.com/imagegallery/store/phpHYJMjk.jpg [/img] SINGAPORE : After months of planning and fund-raising, Animal Lovers League has opened its own shelter at Pasir Ris Farmway 3.
Animal welfare groups were up in arms when the Agri-food & Veterinary Authority started culling stray cats last year.

They wanted sterilised strays to be kept alive, but there was a lack of pet shelters to take them all in.
Now, a 160-strong cat community lives at Pets Villa, a shelter set up by the Animal Lovers League in February.
Most of the cats were caught off the streets by the AVA, while others were evicted pets from HDB apartments.
Housed in the next building are some 70 dogs, either abandoned by owners or found roaming the streets.
At the shelter, they are all sterilised and given a home.
But each animal must have a sponsor; monthly charges are S$30 for a cat, and S$100 for a dog.
Although there are some 50 volunteers helping out, the shelter still needs money to defray its S$20,000 monthly expenses.
"At this point we need S$50,000, to convert what you see, the dog kennels and the catteries into an open concept. I wouldn't want them shut in all the time. Although the units are spacious, they need to come out," said Cathy Strong, president of the Animal Lovers League.
Besides cash donations, the group also hopes animal lovers will give dog and cat food on a regular basis.
And donations have also been coming in, in various forms.
One company committed to building a swimming pool for dogs on a plot of land, while another is paying for the shelter's sign-board.
Pets Villa is putting up some of the animals for adoption.
But before you start rushing down to pick up the pet that you like, please make sure you are living in a place that allows you to keep them.
The Animal Lovers League will hold a fund-raising dinner on 5 June.
